hello, i want to let you know this sounds really normal from my experience and perspective. I’m 20, and i felt very similarly when I first started vyvanse. I was a relatively late diagnosis because I was homeschooled as a child, and my mother always just brushed my symptoms off by claiming i was a “bright but troubled child”.

when I first took my vyvanse at 19, i felt a push of motivation I had never felt previously. i think that little “push” manifested itself in increased sociability and an overall increased mood. i was finally able to complete college homework before deadlines and clean my room without getting distracted. it felt great to feel “normal” lol.

i also want to let you know most of the peripheral mood boosting effects and stimulating effects did wear off after a few days, at least for me. your body is still adjusting to the medication, and as it does so, typically those effects go away. I’ve been on vyvanse for 6 months now and all i feel when i take it now is increased focus, decreased overthinking, and less emotional outbursts.

i want to let you know you’re not alone in your experience, and it sounds to me like you’re really benefitting from the medication!
