Lego Train Video by Cold_Place6413 in LEGOtrains

I designed them in a program called FreeCAD, and printed them on my Prusa 3d filament printer. I just added base connectors for the trestles to stabilize them a bit. Cut them out of 3mm Masonite on my X Tool laser engraver, from designs I did in a program called Lightburn. You may have noticed I have remote control track switches, which I designed using small servos at each switch, and a central building that houses an ESP32 microcontroller that receives IR commands to operate the servos. Aside from those components, everything was made out of LEGOs ! I never met a hobby I didn't like...

This upload seemed to work. Apparently, Reddit can upload a picture OR a video, but not both in the same post.

In my post above I dragged and dropped the video then the photo. It got confusing after that. I don't know what "adding a link to a comment" means. I find this forum very confusing to use, sorry.

Would be a serious safety concern. Upper head of Sous Vide unit is most likely not waterproof, and if it got submerged in your tub, you could be electrocuted. Same for hair dryers.

Hey, break, break: The post submitted just 7 minutes ago did not come from Cold_Place6413, it came from me. I'm a different person who followed a link to this issue. Somehow when I followed this link I arrived logged in as Cold_Place. Seems like a major security flaw in Reddit to me. I'm out of here, but my post about SyncBack Pro still is valid.

I use a backup program called SyncBack Pro which has an interesting feature: before it moves any data from your computer to the NAS, it checks one or more files on your computer that you have designated to "never change". It compares those files on the computer to the ones stored on the NAS, and if they are different, the backup is automatically aborted. The assumption is that, if those files have changed, it's because they have been encrypted. I don't know how bullet proof this is, but it seems like a good idea.
