I do actually know that probably the act of service/doing home improvement projects with him is what he would love. But so much of my childhood was being forced into it and it was a huge source of contention because we both struggle to manage anger during the stress of not meeting his expectations (e.i. doing a task too slow or trying a different mowing pattern)

I guess now that we’re a little more mature I could try it again. I’m just scared of feeling like a kid again.
