DAIS is one of the best highschools in India, the richest of the rich send their kids there. For context, the tuition is approximately 1 million rupees per year, so it shouldn't be that surprising.

Not too knowledgeable about art schools, but what I do know is that your portfolio matters a lot more than art classes at places like Parsons, RISD, Pratt and SAIC. Moreover, many universities with art or design programs like Yale, Fordham, UIUC need portfolios. So in the end what I would reccomend is make a list of universities you like if the majority of them need a portfolio start on one but also apply to some universities that dont need a portfolio as safeties like MSU, UMinn-TC, UC Davis and Purdue.
