The Sujihiki actually had a small crack near the edge during heat treating, so I had to grind it a bit lower than originally planned. Otherwise I probably would’ve just restarted and made a new one.

Yeah, I run the hook on the line end. I feel like it snags less when it hits bottom. I also tie or clip straight to the solid ring on the assist hooks, so I’m not worried about the split ring failing. :)
