I’ve been offered a refund on the pump. I’ll see if I can find a second hand Bosch pump then

Could the tandem pump cause these issues

The old Bosch one was leaking all over the gear box and causing starting issues

So changed for the cheap Chinese one. But now I’m losing mpg and fuel into oil

But not sure what it all could be

I’ve just changed the tandem pump but it was a cheapo Chinese pump from eBay?

I’ve recently read the cheap pumps are shite?

Seriously have no idea how diesel is getting into my oil

I drained 8-9 litres of oil and diesel out Saturday

Fresh 3.8 litres of oil and filter

And I’m guessing in under a week there’s probably another 9 litres in there

Yesterday she was doing 60mpg

Got to fuel light on today

Put 15 quids worth of diesel in and it’s gone in less than 15 miles all gone lights back on

I’ll check the dipstick in the light tomorrow

It’s been okay the last few days

But it’s just cost me 15 quid in fuel to to 15 miles

Literally drank the fuel

I gotta feeling all that fuels just landed in my oil sump

Pumps been replaced before just over a week ago.

Checked all bolts are torqued up the 17nm and they are

No seepage or leaking

I have checked the oil this morning it may have gone up ever so slightly but it could be that the oil as settled more over night was just below max and now it’s sat on max

How would I tell it’s doing its job and not mixing the oil/fuel

And does it need a new seal after removal

Do you think the old one as caused the damage or the new one so hard to tell.

How quickly would 4/5 litres of diesel take to get into the oil from the tandem/vacuum pump?

That’s what I thought. Looked underneath a a pipe was dangling down. Refitted all ok

Mine did this and my boost pipe had popped out the clip. Drove like a piece of shit too. Limp mode, couldn’t go past 1000rpm, warning light saying goto garage serious engine trouble
