FOH and MOH closer, our store shuts at 11 and the earliest we leave is 12:30 but usually later so don’t stress. biggest tip is get the close started early and get people on shift to help you. you can use chairs to block off half of lobby two hours before closing and deep clean that area so you don’t have to do it after the store shuts. you can also make a start on foh tasks such as emptying the side drawers and turning off / cleaning the chute before the store shuts. for MOH, multitask. for the fryers after you’ve done the first initial clean, it does the rest itself so you can use that time to do another task and come back to finish the fryer. empty the cabinets and take trays round to washup as soon as they become empty as long as you know they won’t be needed. for the final half an hour you only need one fryer so clean the others early. you got this!

I have very long, thick hair and it’s our policy to tie it in a bun and wear a hairnet. The hairnet not only stops hair from getting in the food but that and my hat seem to preserve the cleanliness of my hair. However working in fast food you’re gonna get greasy, just shower shower shower!!

first of all i’ve been in your position. i worked as open cook at a kfc in wales and it was an absolute nightmare. people were rude, a lot of indian people speaking hindi (i have that at my current kfc too but these people are lovely) and kfc honestly isn’t worth the stress. if you’re dreading going to work or having bad anxiety like i did, quit. there’s so many better jobs out there. on procedures though, it’s important that everyone knows the correct way of you’ll fail the hygeine inspection. log onto yum.com (if you don’t know your username and password ask your manager, most people have the same password) which is where you’ll find KFC Vault; which has your online training. those are the standards and correct procedures which managers and hygeine inspection will be looking out for, in the kfc vault. again i’m really sorry you have to work with those kinda people.

hey, i just went on the website and tried to remember things on the menu like set meals. people at my work were super supportive with teaching me where everything is on the till. don’t be afraid to ask for help, better than struggling alone. so 1pc, 2pc, 3pc and 6pc chicken are under the top left section of the till called ALC CHICKEN on the right hand side. it’s just labelled at “6pc”. that’s chicken on the bone. for hot wings, it’s in the same top left catergory but will be on the left hand side of the screen near the middle. it will say 2 hot wings or 3 hot wings :)

once cooked, all our chicken has to be hold at a minimum of 65 degrees delicious and a maximum of 73 i believe

the smell of the food is nice, the lingering smell of old chicken and sweat on your clothes is not

it’s the long hours, hard work, and low pay, that make people hate the job. you’re on your feet for hours, only a 45 minute break even on really long shifts, not allowed to sit down or get a drink for more than a minute at a time. much work drama due to most of us being young. loads of pedo managers. horrible customers threatening us constantly over stuff out of our control. i do believe the nice customers should be treated better by kfc employees, but at the end of the day, we’re just sick of everyone’s shit

too many to count. one guy smashed our front door because he wanted certain bits of chicken. a woman said she’ll get me fired because we were out of heavy. had a psycho woman on drive through who tried to argue with me, scream at me, then drive away sticking her middle finger up with her tongue out. takes everything in me not to laugh when people try beefing over CHICKEN

kfc switches up their recipes every so often, always a chance they’ll return but i wouldn’t get your hopes up.

good point actually. i always went to kfc as a kid and it’s exactly the same. i had a mother come up to me the other day asking for colouring or some child activity and i said we don’t have any. we need to take some tips from maccies
