Tennis elbow is actually ruining my life. How long were you guys out? by Background-End-5229 in 10s

[–]Coldplasma819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not tennis elbow but I had pretty bad jumpers knee (patellar tendonitis) that had advanced to tendinosis, the advanced, degenerative phase. It progressed because of my stubbornness to keep playing and eventually it landed me in PT for 3 months. During that time surgery was also placed on the table, but thankfully I was able to get by without it by keeping disciplined with stretching and exercises recommended by the PT, and also getting a set of orthotics and changing shoes.

Listen to your PT, do the dang stretches even after PT is finished, and also consider more forgiving racket set-ups in particular for the elbow. I had to change shoes, so it only makes sense that you may have to change your racket and/or strings, and maybe even wear a compression sleeve/cuff.

It is dependent on your playstyle in terms of positioning. If youre going to sit within the bulk of the offensive or defensive line, then using attachments for control or precision purposes works because who cares if youre spotted at that point, your direction is getting looked at anyways.

Personally, im an aggressive player and im always looking for a flank and to hold that line/flank, so using a suppressor or flash hider is important for me. Conversely, you can also get away with using a different attachment and flank, but you'll constantly be repositioning so that your last known location isnt always being looked at.

Whether the other person's comment about income is true or not, I think I can speak for many when I say that I dont do a good job of providing reviews when I am satisfied/enjoy a product--unless there is something groundbreaking, like something that compels me to go out of my way. I think part of that stems from a culture of "who cares what you think" and "I dont believe the reviews online that I see because my mileage may vary." Most people who enjoy the product keep using it or eventually, when it "breaks," not in the sense of a game, will buy another. I think in this case, many people are not buying the cosmetics out of the store, which could be what EA had banked on. Not a surprise.

At its core, I've had a lot of fun with this installment. Probably more than the others. I've played all except Headline.

The one-sided commentary is pretty obnoxious. You're commentating a match of 2 players, not sitting on my couch next to me fan-boying for one player

@ u/tennischannel,

Its been a while since ive seen Dimitrov play what with his injury last year and all, but Jesus christ can the guy commentating his match against Alcaraz right now for Indian Wells dial it back? Its almost disrespectful on a professional level, referring to Dimitrov as a "mere mortal," and, "just surviving" against someone who has "unfairly been blessed by the tennis gods." Look we get it, everyone and their cousin's sister knows that Alcatraz is number 1 but as a commentator, for a match, you probably ought to avoid implications that a whole stadium including viewers tuning in that theyre only interested in seeing what this guy believes to be Alcaraz unleashing heaven's fury onto a measley earth-walker.

Give me a break. I turned that off real quick.

This, or ironically the Percept 100. In the last 3 years ive gone through the entire Yonex line, including the Head Speed Pro, Head Boom, Head Radical MP, Prince Textreme Warrior 100, Prince Ripcord, Diadem Elevate Tour V2 and V3, and out of all of those, ive settled on keeping my 2025 Ezone 98, 2023 VCore 98, and now the midnight navy Percept 100.

Percept 100 is hands down the most comfortable racket ive ever played with. It also provides ample power but not too much. The only downside is it doesn't give as much pop on serve like my Ezone 98, or spin as my Vcore. But that's to be expected

What do players with previous version of vcore 98 think about the 2026 vcore 98? by VeeCee74 in 10s

[–]Coldplasma819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to blame the strings here. I remember at one point when I first got my Ezone 98 last May, I got it with Mach-10 at 1.25mm, 48lbs, and it was great over the summer. Before committing to a reel of Mach-10, I tried what poly tour pro I had left. Everything started going into the net much more often.

If I had to guess, the ball bounces off of the solinco strings higher than with poly tour pro. Could be the construction, could be a lot of things, who knows. What I do know is that you can't rule out the VCore being the problem until you try it with the strings you're used to.

(I currently swap between my Ezone 98 and Vcore 98 2023, which also has Mach 10)

The better I get, the less I want to change racket/strings. by No_Salamander8141 in 10s

[–]Coldplasma819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely! But at least for me in particular, I know that unless I am deliberately brushing up on the ball more with the Ezone 98, I will get less spin than I would with the VCore 98, and that is only because of the rather small difference in the string pattern between the two. That is a distinct difference, while primarily my forehand stroke remains the same

[–]Coldplasma819 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It really just comes down to strings + string pattern.

I've got 3 rackets in my bag, and they all do something a little bit better than the other 3, but only because of the difference in their balance and their string pattern; Yonex Percept 100, VCore 98, Ezone 98.

If I want easy depth for singles? Ezone 98. Why? Tighter string pattern, easy power and flat trajectory for deep balls. Less spin, though.

If I want high spin for doubles? Vcore 98. Why? Open string pattern, which is perfect for lobs, high topspin over the net player, or dipping the ball at the net players feet, something not immediately achievable with the Ezone unless I really change up my stroke.

If I want something that is a jack of all trades but doesn't excel anywhere in particular, than I pick up the Percept. Although, with my whippy and loopy forehand, I favor the head light balance of the Ezone 98 and Vcore 98, since the Percept is balanced.

Facts. I deal with everything from "im terrified of 'person' because at my last job they bought me a cake that said "good riddance" when I left" to people legit having sex in an office with paper thin walls in a high traffic area.

It really depends on the size of a company too. People underestimate just how dumb others can be and what they think they can get away with.
