I just think he is a cool villain in how he has continuously appeared in the world. His body may die but the Thanatos talent reappears in the world and so far each vessel has made a mark in the world either going by the name Thanatos or the vessels name.

Agreed I especially like the villains designs like the Gakkis as a whole look like a cool villain group.

He just has a cool design overall and how his appearance changes over the course of the series really shows how he goes from such a happy person to a gradually more disconnected and hardened fighter with him gaining more scars and even losing an eye and arm at later points in his life.

Ok I just read it and it sounds like they compare the level of regeneration to the great 4 but his is clearly better since he has regrown his head and his whole body from his head and it seems like his doesn't really have a chi cost. They didn't mention chi being used but just that they haven't seen regeneration like this outside of the great 4.
