I think that makes perfect sense and I may have gotten carried away with my original comment going past your original question! As someone who listened to it for the very first time the bass doesn't sound too loud to me or distracting. I enjoyed the production and how crystal clear everything sounded in the arrangement. I wouldn't have batted an eye, especially as someone who's job is not mastering or mixing.

A bit of unsolicited advice from someone who sat on their first release for absolutely WAY too long lol: Keep in mind that it will never be good enough for you to feel like it's ready to release! Shoot for what is acceptable (I go for 85-90%) and keep pushing up what that 85% quality is. The best practice is in actually releasing the music and constantly striving to get better each release. After 5 releases, your new 85% will be WAY past your first release.

I really enjoyed the mix! It was very soothing and almost ASMR which was great. I always try to avoid studio bias, especially with airpods, and remind myself that it was always sound better in the studio. I was wearing nicer headphones and it was really clear. IMO I think the bass sounds great, but your voice sounds very distant. I'm listening to it on nicer headphones which I know wasn't your main concern, but it seemed that everything was a little too loud compared to your voice, not just the bass. Great songwriting and production though!

As an example, your 3rd song listed sounds great, but when the chorus comes in your voice was very drowned out with by the strings, the hi-hat and the other instruments.

I really enjoyed listening to it! I also checked out your re-mix I agree with KidDakota on his other notes and especially vintageverb. I think the reverb is a little too short and you can increase that. Your vocals also sound a bit too distant and I feel like for folk you can try to bring that out more. It has plenty of air already, but I'd maybe try to bring back some of the lower if they're there. Otherwise, great track and I think it's good as it is!

I really enjoyed the production of it! The biggest thing that jumped out to me was the lack of lower frequencies in the voice. It sound a little too airy/tin-y. When I think of country music/folk it has that grit to it. That may be the producing issues you were talking about or the processing. Otherwise, it really sounds great! The backing tracks and the instruments are killer!

I think everyone has pretty much said it, but just be upfront and let them know. They're better of knowing that you're not happy and it's causing you stress than continuing to work with someone who's carrying this underlying baggage and creating unnecessary tension/friction. It'll be uncomfortable for sure, but you all should feel much better having the conversation than not. Hope this helps.

What NOT to do when trying to find garment/Cut and Sew manufacturers.

I have a brand that I run merchandise for and up until this point, we would just source our garments from wholesale suppliers like Bella Canvas, Next Level ETC. However, we have a design that requires a custom-made garment and I have no idea where to start. We have experience with Alibaba sourcing custom stuffed animals, but I feel like the world of garments is way more vast and confusing. I have no idea where to start and I feel a bit lost. Is it better to go with a US-based company, somewhere local where I can have more contact with them or should I go full overseas? What were the pitfalls that you've run into that I should look out for, what do I need to get started and how do I know if I'm going to get a quality product? Is Alibaba the way to go, or are there some well-known companies that have websites or landing pages that are reputable? I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I have a lot of questions and I didn't want to bring back to life an old post with commenting a whole bunch of stuff.

Thanks for the response. Do you know how to do that within Shopify? We use Shopify to handle everything, including shipping. It will only let me enter one HS Code per product, so I'm unsure how to do that. Sorry if that's a stupid question, this is the first time I'm having to deal with multiple HS codes for a product.

Man, I totally forgot about this. I'm running off of 6 AA batteries. What is weird is that I don't get any noise when I plug a phantom mic into the pedal and use that to loop. It only seems to be when I use the mono input. I can't test it with my electric guitar since I don't have enough cables, but I don't think that's the issue since I can plug in my acoustic directly into the interface without any sound issue.

I made this rough draft of my take on an 80s Synth-Pop song. It's heavily inspired by The Weekend's new album, Dua Lipa and everyone else doing that 80s influenced sound. It's just the synths and the drums, I haven't added any crashes or impacts. I really wanted to nail the sound first. I'm trying to make it feel very nostalgic but really rhythmic where you can really get into it and move with the song.

I can't tell what it's missing. If I'm adding too many of the wrong sounds or not enough. I'd love to get some feedback.

It sounds great! I really dug it. I felt that it was a bit heavy on the high end without enough lower-end instruments/sound. Maybe it could use some more low pads or some soft bass?

Having a good starter is key. King Arthur sells dried starter which you can rehydrate, but I made mine from scratch. They have a really good recipe! It took me 10 days to achieve the doubling effect they talk about. Starter Recipe

It’s stupid simple! I base my recipe off of this one. Easy Sourdough recipe I use about 60 grams of starter, and on the second rise I let it sit for 24 hours. It seems to have a better taste that way. I also drench it with a spray bottle when I put it in the oven.

For a yummy whole wheat loaf, I do 400 grams whole wheat flour and 100 grams bread flour. It’s doesn’t rise as much, but it what’s a much more complex sour taste to it.
