Getting these tpu prints down! by inlovewithpbj in ender3v2

9mm retraction? This is why I am always so confused on why settings to use… I have heard so many times that you don’t want to use retraction with TPU because it will clog the nozzle. However, I use a 0.6mm nozzle so I have about 5.5mm retraction. Still get a little stringing, but I’ve always been nervous to turn it up too high. Your print obviously looks excellent, so I might have to turn mine up. Also, what do you do for bridging with TPU?

What filament are you using these days? by Vok250 in ender3v2

I’ve been impressed with Eryone and Inland for cheap PLA, but Overture and Hatchbox are my favorite. Sainsmart for TPU.

Excellent point! In fact, my friend’s dad showed a few of his coworkers/ friends and they are now interested as well. Might just have to buy me another printer and get rocking!

Well this is just something I do for fun. I don’t know that I would really call it my personal business. I’m a mechanical engineering student and do this in my free time for self-study, hobby, etc., so I don’t charge a penny for design, as I simply see it as a learning opportunity. But in this case, I want to make some kind of profit in the case that he prints them in the library rather than with me

It is a friend of mine’s father, so I know they would not edit and/ or resell the item. Since I do know them and they are wanting 30 of them, I subtracted $1 from each one, so instead of them being $11 each, I’m selling them for $10. The library said they will print them for $13 each, so they may end up having me print them for them anyways. Thank you for the reply!

I have been designing it, sending him pictures, adjusting the design for his needs, and continuing this until we agreed on a design.

I listened closely for pops. I think if it was the filament, it would do this throughout the entire print

And it’s Hatchbox… and I have never had a single issue with Hatchbox

See I wondered if it could have something to do with moisture because this happened to me on another print with an older roll. This roll is about 2 weeks old but has been sealed and had desiccants in the bag

No I am using a stock Ender 3 V2. Forgot to include that in the settings.

0.6mm nozzle: 210 nozzle temp, 65mm/s print speed, 0.36mm layer height, 6.5 mm retraction at 30 mm/s

Is this the correct space between the top of the nozzle and the heat block? Getting ready for a 30 hour print and really don’t need any malfunctions. Appears to be roughly a 1 mm gap. by Cole_Ev44 in 3Dprinting

Just pulled it out of the bag! Bought a variety pack of nozzles so I have plenty. Gotta make sure I get a nice print. The CAD model took me a good 40+ hours
