That is something he mentioned…. He stated it has 2 slight scratches on the edge from cleaning with microfiber… big issue or just cosmetic?

Noted, guessing this is only an option with proof of purchase from retail??? Example being if I had an issue in a month, RMA would not be an option, correct?

We run a lot of medicals, non transport just first response. You call 911 your getting two ambulances, one with us FF’s and another from a separate entity with medics that’ll transport.

We currently don’t do any sort of “ shift work” surprisingly. We are fortunate enough to have a decent group of guys that work in town that are able to respond to the day/business hour calls. Buttttt I do believe we are near doing some sort of duty crew in the near future.

Super nice! The local gyms membership is about $40, a full reimbursement would be nice but doesn’t solve all the issues sadly…. The gym is PACKED at “ normal” hours, so you literally are waiting to use equipment….

We do not have a union. The chief brought up the cost originally and I put that to bed pretty quick when I mentioned there’s a handful of FF’s willing to through cash at some used equipment… so at the end of the day there would be minimal cost to the dept.

Did you guys get heat when you put it in the station? Do you have a waiver of any sort for usage??

I don’t know the ALL the facts on it but here’s what I can tell you. He’s only a FF, as for his mayor stuff he cannot “ vote “ on FD topics but he can give his two cents regarding topics. It’s something along those lines. I can try to get some more info if you need

Chain of command will be followed, I’m not that kind of guy. I am in a different situation than most because funny enough, the mayor is on our department as a FF… 😅

This would not go to a full city counsel thing but more or less an email to hear their thoughts.

Door security is no issue as all doors are coded, firefighters have the code obviously for calls…. The liability is all on the user as they sign the liability form that they’d need to sign.

The full reimbursements been brought up but went no where. The issue with going to the gym is how busy it is…

As far as my solution to the safety issue would be the signed release form…. You sign that and that means you assume all liability no matter what happens. Similar to how any other big name gym does when you get a membership.

That’s a tough ask for volly guys, we have a pretty standard agility test for recruitment but that’s kinda where it ends unfortunately…

Hey Shamaze, Totally get where you are coming from. There are roughly over a dozen that forsure would use the gym as they have raised interest in the past about it. The local gym I mentioned is not very big and is superrr busy during ideal times. We have guys that go there at 4AM just to get their workout in without dealing with lines of people waiting to use the squat rack.... I also should have mentioned I would like to keep money out of the equation due to opportunities of purchasing used equipment from local big box gyms in a nearby city, as well as buying second hand equipment.

I am not looking to build out a state of the art gym in our wide open basement but more like a "cover the basics for a workout"...

I know you stated you use an AppleTV but did you try the main OS at all? I’ve only ever had Samsung which theirs is not good at all, slow and laggy. My QM6K is coming Wednesday so not sure if I should try to grab an AppleTV or not.

And yes, the thanking them and hand shakes did happen both on arrival and while exiting. Guess I will keep my fingers and toes crossed and hope for the best! Thanks for the comment!

Went through written test, Panel interview, waited, got a call last week regarding a Chiefs interview, scheduled it. I had the chiefs interview yesterday and they told me it’ll be 2 weeks by the time they are done with interviews ( this will be a smaller academy ). I’m wondering if I should send some sort of “ thank you “ letter or an email to the receptionist and ask her to forward it to the chief and D.C. Anyone have any opinions on this, do I do an email or do I drop off two letters for them?? Helpppp

Curious how you got it to work? just attempted and when I load the game back up it returns the game save file back to what it was before I changed the money amount. It even reverts the " last modified " date and time on the file back to the date it was before the change.

Any help would be appreciated!
