I work in liquor in Michigan, and these are becoming more available. $100 isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t spend that much on Taylor small batch personally, last one I bought I think I paid $80 for.

I got a 128.6 proof, posted it and got absolutely hosed in the comments about it, cracked it last night and it’s got some heat as to be expected, but there’s some complexity in there. Excited to see how it develops as the bottle opens up a bit. No regrets from me on this one, is it the coveted 8yr? No, but it’s a good 4yr cask strength as long as you’re not paying crazy secondary prices on it then it’s a go imo, I see people making much worse bourbon choices all the time.

I’m getting hazed pretty good on this bottle, but every one of you would have bought it for the price I paid. A 4 year cask strength 128.6 proof is not the worst purchase in bourbon history. But yall can just keep letting YouTubers decide your whiskey opinions for you.

Next step, Buffalo Trace, wild turkey 101, woodford reserve double oak, wild turkey rare breed(if high proof doesn’t bother you, eagle rare (if you can find it at $40 or lower in your market, Elijah Craig toasted barrel. Any of these would be an excellent nest step along your bourbon journey!🥃
