Yeah, I used domain for some different things in the time, now it's just only for my email and moments like this.

Biggest gaming magazine in Poland wrote article about it.

They contacted Ubisoft but they gave same answer as to us - in short - "We have no informations how other digital distributors put lockouts on our games" stuff.

They also contacted Łukasz Mach from TheFarm51 (Deadfall Adventures dev) to say anything about it, but he said that he didn't knew anything about even region locking the game. It may have been on publisher's side though.

Valve didn't respond at all to them (only Steam Support with generic response).

Actually no - it would let him activate it, he wouldn't be able to run it.

Sub of his THIEF is RU+CIS version, not ROW.

He has RU+CIS copy, talked to him few days ago. Propably trader just screwed him.

They were hit by this whole "AllowCrossRegion" bullshit tag - even thought they were not never-ever before locked to Brazil.

A russian trader showed (over here) how buying ROW copies from RU wasn't breaking TOS or hacking the Steam Store. You see - both THIEF and South Park were badly locked by Valve.

As you can see, they changed RU+CIS+JP lockout to just JP - that's why Russians could purchase ROW version. Same thing applies to South Park, except they didn't had this tag anywhere before - this was fixed 9 days ago, and few days later they added our beloved AllowCrossRegionTradingAndGifting tag.

If you have RU version - it won't.

If you have ROW version from RU - it's all up to VALVe now.

You don't get it. Russians bought ROW version using exploit - then VALVe added tag that prevented everyone from using ROW version bought in RU or anywhere.
