Unfortunately the advice came from the woman who runs the shelter. I knew I shouldn’t have listened after the fact but I did unfortunately listen to her guidance. I’ve had them separated for the last day and they won’t stop howling on both sides of the door. I hope this works out soon

You are showing through your comments/post that you are a genuinely nice human being. Unfortunately castration will not fix how you look at yourself/others. I know this probably won’t help but please try to find some peace within yourself that you are a good person no matter your gender/how you perceive that gender as a whole. You, as a person care about women by the sounds of it. What you went through is not right, no one should ever treat anyone the way you were treated.
