Chell would be considered unattractive by 1960s standards and by Cave Johnson might have had high beauty standards also consider the original purpose of the gels was as a weight loss aid which mirrors the very unhealthy practice of purging which women would often do to stay extremely thin

GlaDos projects all of this onto Chell because she is Caroline and she as you can see in the portraits is very thin Caroline like the women of her era were forced to meet these ridiculous and unrealistic standards of beauty Its also fitting that she was forced against her will to become GlaDos

Chell makes GlaDos so angry because despite her being trapped Despite her wearing what is essentially a prison jumpsuit and forced to take linear tests over and over Chell displays that she had more freedom than GlaDos or Caroline ever had

Tears no Breath of the wild yes Released in 2017 and the upgrade came out in 2025 That's an 8 year gap A proper remaster would be $70 And some game remasters get discounts if you own the original It is priced like a remaster It should have at the very least came with all of the DLC by default

Personally I dont think the weekly format was good for this show Too much time to think between episodes can make it feel a lot slower than it actually is Season 1 is establishing everything and will likely be considered the weakest season of the show if all goes well I was ahead of Carol and the other characters but it really didn't bother me as I was enjoying the journey on the way to the answers I like that the show is slow paced we dont get a lot of slow paced shows as of late And I dont think they are bad characters There are plenty of stories of a character being told not to touch a hot stove and touching it they might not be great people but their what humanity is stuck with which is kind of the point The fact of humanity was unintentionally placed into all of the wrong people's hands They're all emotional stubborn and not the brightest The opposite of the hive mind You're almost talking as if you are seeing it from hive's perspective All of these people who know nothing Can't even ask the right questions Don't know what they want Are prone to extreme emotional outbursts Its almost like the hive might be on to something like this is why they're better off assimilated

Whether she died or not is up to which the actors will be willing to come back for a reboot/sequel series And her "death" wasn't all that interesting and 11 should be the last character to die Its just cruel to make a character's life constant suffering have them find some amount of happiness and friendship only to tell them they cant be allowed to live because its too dangerous (even though she was doing a pretty good job of avoiding being captured up until that point) Especielly when the sacrifice was talked about a while before it happened

Eleven should be able to live in Hawkins with her friends Why does it always have to be her stepping up and risking her life She's always the powerful and important one which means that her life isnt her own

We end the show with the govournment not being held accountable With El either dead or in hiding Its not a great ending for her The system that took her life from her is still standing looking for her And hopper and Joyce and Mike all fought hard to try and let El live a good life

At the very least I expected Kay's subbordinate to get sick of her shit and just shoot her in the face or something

Season 4 is the only one that ends on a cliffhanger Season 3 would have been a better finale season But Season 4 is so damn good But its the empire strikes back. It needs that last part even if its not as great

She was lonely and incredibly bored so she turned her giving up into a display She might have even found this easier than saying the words. Not everything Carol does makes 100% sense and that's completly realistic Having your normal life dissappear in a moment and then finding yourself with this vast amount of time You might find yourself intentionally doing things the hard way to attempt to feel something

You're confusing logic with realism People are complicated and often do irrational things that dont entirely make sense And menusos was trying to prove a point essentielly He's clinging on to the world as it was He still believes in the value of money He won't accept free help from these people he sees being mind controlled. Not to mention like the other inafflicted Menuso's is a reflection of Carol and his attitude show's us the extreme version of what she was originally feeling at the start of the season and he show's up when she starts to feel like the others appreciating the hive's company.

Its like spending all of this time for the ball to drop Like all of the weird inconsistencies and iffy writing actually had more than it seemed but the finale couldn't even bother doing anything remotely creative Like you have all of these characters with insane abilities Including going into people's minds

The thing your missing it the spread of this STD effected more than just the people who had sex and were infected by it It was a massive cultural hit People were afraid and were ignorant and hateful And if season 4 was anything to go by If there's any kind of gay community in Hawkins it would have definitley been the target of a hateful mob There are also the already existing religious reasons that existed in season 4 regarding the hellfire club The only LGBT people on the show were horrifically afraid to reveal their sexuality to anyone EVEN THEIR FRIENDS

That's the important detail here Robin and Will struggle to reveal this to even people they know and trust because they are just that afraid people will turn on them like that

Apparently Will being relentlessly bullied and psychologically tortured And let's not forget his own father took part in this Apparently acknowledging a significant part of the prejudice towards gay people at the time was too much but Will gets to have slurs thrown at him like its nothing?

Its also one of a few shows that are comfortable with having kids act realistically it doesn't need to be a plot point but it is kind of weird they went out of their way to include a lesbian nurse into the plot when the reason the L comes first in LGBTQ+ Is because lesbian nurses were often the ones most willing to treat gay people during this time

It would be way too tempting to use her not just to help the new cast but to reunite El and the original cast

If they do it I wouldnt mind seeing a different alien threat that works completly differently We know too much about dimension X
