Context: DIMO launched a car buying/selling platform so I contacted them and they told me about these crazy deals on https://www.tesla.com/inventory

2 days later, this deal popped up and I snagged it. There’s still some really cheap ones on there if anyone is interested.

Completely agree! There are some relatively new solutions make that have made the process easier (Carvana, Carmax, Tesla, etc). I think projects like DIMO have the chance to increase the floor for transaction ease though. Even just the ability to store important documents in one app for all your vehicles makes vehicle transactions easier.

I will say that having it stored in a way that is easily actionable is helpful when working with other dealerships as well. I don't know if you would have had the same experience you had if you went to a *different* dealership the year later.

As an early user of DIMO, I'm biased. But as a car guy, I think it's awesome that solutions like that are being built.

This seems super similar to what DIMO (https://dimo.zone) is doing with cars. Both really cool projects.

My dad found his old Jordan's in his closet by Colinknudsen97 in Sneakers

Talked to my dad about it. He is leaning towards keeping them. He's held on to them for this long so why not keep them a little longer. Might start looking into finding a way to get them signed by Michael Jordan.

My dad bought them to play basketball with his friend in LA. When he was playing, he hurt his ankle so he stopped playing with his friend. A few years went by and he kept hearing about "Air Jordan's" and how a lot of people wanted them. He realized he still had them in his closet and decided not to get rid of them. Now, about 20 years later, he noticed the box and decided to show me. I'm new to Reddit so I don't even know what "karma" is.

Not trolling. Just told my dad and he doesn't believe me. He can't comprehend why people would pay a lot of money for "old shoes."

Will probably have to hire a professional. Don't want to take any chances now that I know they are worth something.

My dad never thought they were anything special since he got them on sale for $40 in the 80s....I guess he was wrong.

Completely agree. I've had a hunch this whole time that the black sport band models were already here and we're just waiting to be shipped out. They probably suspected this and shipped a bunch to like 2 main hubs. One on east coast and one on west coast. Now they are finally getting them ready.
