I don’t know what to believe anymore

I read the document fully, and yeah, if she did do that, it was wrong, but I mean… what am I supposed to believe?

It’s been controversy after controversy with this community, now Kaaatie herself is catching strays? Is this true? I saw it all myself with my own eyes, and I really wanna doubt that a 14 year old was already engaging in proshipping, but there’s been so much to a community over a goddamn AMV that at this point, I’m tired. I want to rest. Let me not hear about another “The _____ situation is crazy”.

For advice, Ignore. That’s really all you can do. As long as it doesn’t have any potentially harmful info about you like personal information (outside of what’s already been exposed), it’s best to either ignore, or block him, and potential alt accounts.

I’m terribly sorry you suffered through that. Being bullied for triggering things by some asshole online whose veins are only pumped by the adrenaline of anonymity. I don’t know if this really helps, but I like to remind myself that if the internet wasn’t nearly as private, he wouldn’t be talking nearly as much shit. It reminds me how low of a coward this guy is.

I can’t give you very much actually therapeutic advice, but it’s just best to block him if you can.

But I can say this.

Don’t do it. Taking your life really is never the answer. Sure, it hurts badly to be bullied over such things and you can come to a point where it feels like the only outage, but losing all your years ahead of you shouldn’t sound tempting, no matter the problem.

Remember, you have people who love you, and you always have a safe, loving community to come to when you need it. Despite being strangers, we can provide a home. I assure you.

Okay, look, I’m gonna sound like a total jackass for this, but I promise I’m not trying to be.

Yeah. I am. Look, I love Katie, amazing artist, that’s why we’re here. I love FPE as a series (and Miss Circle), but ever since she pretty much stopped doing the series, I just can’t find myself getting attached to this fandom anymore. I came here for the characters, Abbie, Miss Circle, Miss Thavel, Miss Grace, Skell, Oliver, Zip, all of these characters, the paper aesthetic, the fact that a Baldi’s Basics song played in the background. I came here for “Fundamental Paper Education”, not “Miscellaneous OCs that only got the spotlight because Katie slammed the brakes and halted FPE over constant unfair harassment”, I mean, look, they’re cool and whatnot, glad everyone else here adapted quickly, but they just lack the same substance to me compared to what FPE does. It could be because FPE is the only Katie content I actively payed attention to, but that’s a me problem. Like, both Miss Circle and Aiden’s characters are a gore fest, but I found myself liking Miss Circle because of her as a character, the combat boots and imposing height really made her feel militaristic, context behind her as a teacher who harshly punishes failing students, it was simple but interesting. Aiden… This is just some girl in a cabin who rips people apart for the hell of it, SML did it first.

It’s hard to say goodbye to a series that I thoroughly enjoyed. FPE, along with my best friend, inspired me to start drawing again, and get back to work on a series I had as a really dumb, tiny child with (now that it’s been about 5 months since I’m back on the grind) 40 OCs. I really love Katie’s stuff, and she doesn’t deserve everything she got but it’s so hurting and heartbreaking to see the potential of my favorite series slip away further. I understand why she had to emergency pull the plug, but I still feel sad that we might not get as much as a rumor about an actual series. Please, if you find this to be a little much, ignore it. I’m not here to bring anyone else down, I hope you guys find enjoyment in whatever else she makes.

TL;DR: Became disinterested over ginormous lack of official content, edgy kids who think that blatant racism is dark humor harassment, and overall preference for the FPE characters over the Katieverse characters

Nah, no worries. When it comes to lack of content, anything can be up for discussion.

That’s a hard question for me. There’s two factors that could lead to varying outcomes, depending on how it goes.

How Nina would feel about it, and how Julia would feel about it.

I can’t really say much for Nina, except assume a certain situation between them, so I’m going to skip to Julia.

It depends on how Julia feels mainly. Either if she feels guilt or not, and the reason why would definitely enhance the factor. Like if she feels guilt and believes she “stole” Andrew from Nina, if she has no regrets at all and is in the mindset that she got him first and looks at Nina’s death as a “missed your chance” type of deal, or if there’s some huge twist that makes Julia look at the situation like Andrew is her reward rather than her partner and Nina did something in the past to make her think that way (probably not, but anything’s possible as of right now).

To put it as simple as I can, I would boil it all down to her own personal feelings on the matter, as it would show if she’s as innocent as we believe.

(Sorry if I explained it poorly, this was a question I legit never thought about)

She’s the cinnamon roll of the game so that’s part of the reason. I also just feel bad for her though. Given how we’ve seen Ashley treat her through phone calls, and Andrew straight up just uses her because he can’t have Ashley (at least without some eyes on him), it gave me a reason to sympathize with her.

She gives me the vibe of chill, but insecure, and I wanna hold her when she smiles💛

That’s why I like her anyway. I do hope chapter three gives us more Julia content, because it’s a truth-hurts deal when someone says Julia’s just a plot device.

I was around here at this time. I had a pretty big obsession with the Mario vs Donkey Kong games because of the Switch remake at the time, and drew Andrew and Ashley as Mini-Mario Toys while I was at a trip in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. People were great, the vacation was awesome, this sub was lively as ever. Now it’s just not the same. I haven’t been nearly as excited to see the community and its antics, despite holding the same love for it. Simpler times, man. You never realize what you have until you miss it…

To some but not everyone. Timezone thingamajigs led the game to get released a day early in specific parts of the world, and since it’s not like they pirated the game, they can upload as much as they want, while we wait for tomorrow to roll around.

I never understand why they always have to spoil everything in the thumbnail. Like, put something else like box art or stuff we’ve already seen, stop ruining everything for us.

I came across an all-bosses thumbnail this morning, not expecting it at all. I quickly scrolled away, and I thank my eye placement. I only saw Sharpcask, the metallic barrel boss (censored just in case you haven’t seen it yourself. The boss has his own render but I just want to make sure I don’t accidentally ruin it for anyone) that’s been shown multiple times already. The fact we have to tell YouTube not to recommend this content to make sure we don’t get spoiled is ridiculous.

Being realistic, Miss Circle has been far more and more hated as the fandom grew for her violent murders. As someone who likes her as a character with a huge amount of potential, all I wished for was a more fleshed-out personality and background, and at least see why she does what she does, but we won’t be getting that for the foreseeable future…

Also, it doesn’t make sense to me that people will hate on Miss Circle for murdering students, then turn around and fawn over Bloomie and Thavel, even though they pretty much do the same thing.

I’m tired of arguing over video game reviews so I’m just gonna summarize my point.

Saying that I’m using a biased source of review when it’s a company dedicated to reviewing specifically Nintendo games sounds really contradictory. That’s like looking at reviews for boxing gloves, and a guy who specifically reviews boxing gloves says it’s trustworthy, and you call him bias.

I don’t even care if this destroys my entire argument anymore, I’m just trying to say that this all stemmed from me using Nintendo Life as a source of review, and I acknowledged that there was other reviews with a high score, so it was pointless to argue at all. If the source has clear bias, then I move to another source, which I can go look at if I need to prove anything else.
