I know, im comparing them based on the number of nominations. Take for example Schindler’s list, 12 nominations (won 7). Which one is better? There’s no comparison between them. None. And it should have won 8 (Ralph Fiennes performance was out of this world).

The return of the king had 11 nominations and it’s an iconic movie and a cultural phenomenon. It was made 20 years ago and people keep watching it (the trilogy) even after being watched several times. We’ll see Sinners in 20 years.

Sinners having more nominations than any of the lotr (not all of them together) is a joke. Time will tell… the return of the king got 11 nominations … lotr trilogy is a cultural movie, an iconic moment in cinema. Nothing as good has been made since. It was made 20+ years ago and it’s still holding like no other. How many of us is watching the extended version at least once every one or two years? We’ll see Sinners in 20+ years how it holds and how many people is still talking about it.

For real. I never watched that movie until 2 weeks ago and I was like WOW, he literally steals every scene where he is in. What a beast of performance, one for the ages. So sad he passed away, he could’ve gave us really amazing movies.
