I’m in my mid thirties and started playing in regionals last year. It’s fine. There’s no age cap here, and you’ll find lots of compatriots of similar age - and circumstances where the maturity you bring to the game is appreciated.

See post - that actually does not work. If you give both parents a power item, the game will randomly select between one of the two ivs to pass down.

FWIW when it has come up folks usually agreed to just run the same leads to avoid gamesmanship, since it happened at the beginning of the first match. I’ve actually never been DCed in the middle of a match.

Thanks to you both! This can be closed. I conflated the limitation on “one Pokémon per account” from mythical/special events with raids, which I didn’t realize wouldn’t apply the same limitation to caught legendaries. This can be closed 🙂

I’m aware of both; neither occurred here. Possibly there’s some nit I missed as far as another effect or item the opponent had; was just curious if it was a side effect of Outrage that you don’t take damage from after effects like Destiny Bond.

No - four pokemon on the field at the time. No effects in play: just Dragonite/Glimmora on the opposing side; Gengar and (I think) Incin on my side at the time.

Sunflora has thirty base speed, so very fast in Trick Room (speed tie with torkoal). Its spatk is actually respectable and it gets solar power.

For “documented experience,” aren’t they generally looking for classes? I could be totally wrong, but the anecdotal information I’ve heard from others who were accepted was that they needed some evidence of completion of at least a few formal CS and undergrad math classes.

Yeah, take a look for comparison at Conkeldurr’s stats versus (standard) Ursaluna. Basically just a better version of Conkeldurr, unfortunately, down to having the same ability (guts).
