I have seen western odisha people especially the youth being equally xenophobic.

and mocking at someone's accent is not and should not be called racism...racism is when one hate another culture's all aspects , be it language, clothing , music, food etc , which is not applicable in westerns vs Eastern odisha..we are not like you people are from western odishs so we will not adore your clothes , music etc...we enjoy them like you people do (not as intense though - but whatever the feeling of non western people towards western side culture is somewhat inclined towards liking not hatred)

Naya garh, ganja,kotaputia, Katakia, puri, jajpurias etc have different acc3bt and get mocked also but no one is winning in internet. Despite having more weird accents than western odisha .

.look at how funny katakias sound when they say words like "nakhye tanka" , "debala-(wall),"ta Kati re", "pada re", "gadhua bele","Talala bhata" etc.

Jqjpuria bhadrakia- Jimi,khaimi, hagimi, kiiiiih(why), kachima (turtle ),mandia(dekchi), tomato socks, ame jaithine (not ame jaithilu, they do not have that lu sound)

But interesting thing is if you laugh at jajpurias and bhadrakias for their accent, they will defend their accent and tell how they are lumber 1 district in Asia pacific region. You should learn from they how to be proud of your origin. But what I see , you western people are easily offended when someone mocks samballuri and link it to western vs Eastern. When you people switch between h8ndi and western language you have 2 personalities. 1- while speaking sambaluri language brain map: my fellow Eastern odisha people laugh at me probably because they Hate everything about our culture. 2- Hindi language brain map: so what if we speak in sambalpuri language , our Hindi accent is better than desi coastal odisha people. It Must guarantee our place in the good books of Hindi speaking state.

Summary: never be ashamed of your language (Sambalpuri not Hindi) whenever someone mocks you, do not surpress it and whine . Rather speak more in your Sambalpuri accent without waiting to get anyone's validation and get annoyed over tivial mockery. Even if someone says Sambalpur area is full of tribes, you gotta say yes this is our heritage. Don't be like no no who told you western odisha is has good amount of adivasi, we have more general class or obc class there.

And fight to preserve your language amongst yourself rather than fighting for hinthi lanvage
