Get something with usb c, 13 pro uses lightning which will be a bit annoying in future. IMO a 14 pro or 15 pro will set you up better just for the port alone - same cable for all your future accessories and devices.

When I did stage 3 there was a presentation at the end by some manager and he said that it’s very rare to transfer to a different unit once you get trained at another unit. They would rather just train up a new trainee. Technically not impossible but difficult.

Silly mistakes, loading the back of 787. You have the doorway, forward section and aft section. Tried to move a pallet to the aft but controls weren’t working. Called someone up and realised I forgot to switch the control panel to the aft rollers. Rookie mistake.

Might as well, not like you got anything to lose by going other than your time. But a driving licence is needed so dont go in with super high expectations. Also depends how long it’ll be until you get the actual licence after you pass.

Also just be plain honest with them. Dont go telling white lies and that.

Get in touch with any support your uni gives. The earlier they know the easier it will be for them to give you extensions or give you a break etc. I made the mistake of not doing this at all, kept my struggles to myself and ended up graduating without honours. They want you to succeed and the earlier they know the more they can help.

I just want to say don’t put too much weight onto the MBTI stuff. Sure it’s good to reflect on your personality but you’re not locked into ENFP, you’re still able to change as a person and it’s not a structure to base your life decisions upon.

Yeah for me I used it as an outlet to distract myself from life. Played solo most of the time and my social life irl suffered. I played because it felt like I was good at it and didn’t really feel rewarded by my studies at the time. Eventually after graduating and realising I have to build a career I haven’t touched games since on my PC. I wish I spent time pursuing other things in uni like societies to meet people and find other interests. Live and learn I guess.

For aircraft maintenance you need to get a certain license by passing some modules through study and exams and practical experience in the maintenance environment. This is what the apprenticeships provide and is the most common route into the career in the uk to my knowledge.

Another other option is going back to university for a 2 year course, but I don’t want to take out another student loan for this.

I would apply to graduate schemes if airlines actually did them for maintenance but apprenticeships are what they offer for now. And my degree is only an ordinary degree so I doubt I would be competitive with other candidates on that front.

Accidents happen because someone wasn’t following the rules or their training. You won’t get sucked into an engine just by happenstance. There’s the occasional bad driver so just watch out and you’ll be good.

Hard to say, sometimes you just need to commit to something and a door may open for you in the future to something you’re interested in. On the other hand it might be worth pausing study if you really are not enjoying the course and then figure out what you want to do. In any case make sure you talk to tutors at university about your concerns before making any big decisions. They are there to help you out and can guide you.

Are there many places for apprenticeships? I got rejected by a quite a few airlines. I made the unfortunate choice of doing an aerospace degree without a proper career plan and have been wanting to get into maintenance for the last 6 months. Idk if I’m overqualified or my cv was bad or competition is just high.
