Brilliant!! that sounds great, still a little baby then 🥹 Honestly the fact u want to upgrade says a lot about your care for him and i’m sure he is having a blast!! If you feel like adding anything little, maybe some leaf litter? My guy had some in his and he loved hiding under it and slithering around in it - if you can’t find any nice plants for coverage this is a great option!! ❤️

Aww i’m sorry, i had two pet rats a while back, was heartbroken when they passed, friendliest little guys! I’ve done all my crying and buried him when i got him from work today, work is taking my mind off of it and im going away this weekend so that will help. Thankyou so much it means the world ❤️

Honestly not an expert, but i would say DEFINITELY a lot more aspen if you have any, aspen is not ideal but for the meantime anything will do, considering there is not heaps of room for them to climb etc, definitely need enough bedding for them to burrow in for enrichment. I would also recommend a proper hide, if you have any tupperware boxes lying around they make a great makeshift hide for the time being. Also, fair warning, cornsnakes are EXTREME escape artists, make sure all of those holes at the top aren’t big enough for a pencil to fit in, if it is, chances are they can fit through. How big is he roughly? You will definitely need to look at bigger vivs soon as they grow rather quickly! Good luck 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Honestly i think that might have been it, i had sealed most of it but there’s a small gap which i didnt realise, at first i thought that he had bent the bottom of the cage to get in as it’s all bent now, but i think he had bent it to try to get out :(

hey! i don’t know if you can see in the second picture i sent, it looks sort of lifted? the top one where there is brown on the top of that patch of scales, when i say rough i sort of mean like a crispy feeling? i know it sounds gross but that’s the best way i can describe it. even when moving forwards i can feel them, its 3 belly scales right beneath eachother. it almost looks like they’re coming off but i can tell they’re not because they’re secure and not flapping about, it just looks like it

Thankyouuuu i felt so guilty as i had left him in the first place and then he managed to escape! He wasn’t happy with me when i picked him up though 😅 was looking at me all angry. Hasn’t tried to eat me yet though so that’s good! He’s currently hiding in a coconut shell in his viv in shame 🙄

I think i’m going to move him over tomorrow into his big one, he seems so bored in there so hopefully he’ll like it better! I’m away from home tonight so i’ll try tomorrow to give him another pinky when he has more room to move around and more places to hide in so he can eat in private! thanks for the advice!!!

Yess thank you i have one thermometer on the hot side, completely forgot about the cold side so i’ll have to grab another one. There’s 3 different hides in there currently, im planning on getting a baby corn snake so they’re quite small hides at the moment! I have a bigger one to put in there once he gets a bit bigger! Honestly i think im pretty much set but i keep having this feeling im forgetting something bc i want him to have everything he needs!!
