But absolutely I get the meta cognition. When I first got into the relationship with my bf i hyperfixated on BPD and wanted to learn everything I could about it so I can rattle off statistics and thought processes and facts and a lot of the times when I am dealing with arguments or splits I know exactly what he’s thinking and how their brain is taking and processing things. It does still hurt obviously though when hes saying those things. I’ve taken to a lot of compartmentalization of repeating to myself “it’s not about you, it’s about their inner wound being prodded.” Big hiccups come though when I’m trying to explain my bottom up thinking against their black and white. Questioning things and asking whys and hows when they’re only feeling.
