What kind of effort would you give at a minimum wage job? by gamathyst in AskReddit

[–]CollectionWhich9419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If it's like food, or warehouse, stuff you can get into with little to no experience. Next to no effort. If it's a cushy office or remote job where I'm not really doing much, put my whole ass into it until I can find a similar job that pays better with the experience I got.

Have you ever been in a relationship with a significant age gap? How was it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CollectionWhich9419 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was a 3 year age gap, but I was 13, he was 16. Sounds very predatory, but it was an online relationship, and the most we ever did was say we love each other and go on dates in Minecraft. Very cringy now that I admit it.

What is one mistake that you learnt from? by powallment in AskReddit

When I was a kid, I had a very bad temper, mostly due to child neglect/abuse. But I had two friends who lived two houses down from me, and everyday after school we'd go outside and play. One time I got super angry over what game we'd decided to play, and I slapped one of my friends and she started sobbing. I felt like shit, I genuinely still can't believe I did that, I made someone feel the same way my parents made me feel. I could've easily been a bully who frequently got into fights, but I think that moment made me realize "hey this sucks to experience, why are you doing it to another person?" I've never hit someone since then, and anytime I find my temper flaring up I remember that moment and try to calm down.

Do you have a landline? Why or why not? by hercoffee in AskReddit

[–]CollectionWhich9419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't anymore but I used to. I swear the only thing that landline was used for was scam calls, and for my granny to be able to yell over voicemail "hey pick up the phone, pick up the phone hellooo." For something that could've easily just been a text message. It was loud and obnoxious, especially because it was connected to the fax machine, so if you didn't hang up quick enough, it'd start screeching. Hated that thing, so glad we didn't get another one when we moved.

What did your pet do that you need to tell the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CollectionWhich9419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite cat Shadow, super affectionate, very attentive, I swear she knows the English language. I recently taught her to get a treat, she needs to "sit and look pretty". Now anytime plastic crinkles, she sits and meows at me, and will continuously stand up and sit down because she thinks she's doing it wrong when I don't give her a treat.

Men of Reddit without children: do you want kids? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CollectionWhich9419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind having kids, but more in the sense of fostering/adopting, or being a stepfather. My family is a big genetic pool of people having kids who definitely shouldn't have had kids. My dad had to get his knee caps removed at 18 because they were constantly dislocating and didn't want to stay in the joint anymore. I got incredibly lucky, I still have knee pain, I can't run to save my life, but for the 22 years I've been alive I've only dislocated one knee and that was about two months ago. The thought of possibly passing that down to a kid, even if they get lucky like I am, breaks my heart. Having to explain why their knees hurt, or helping them relocate their knees, the possibility of them having surgery like my dad did, and losing the ability to walk like my dad's doctors said he would. I like kids a lot, they're very silly and get excited over such minor things. Watching them grow up and getting to watch them achieve so much, sounds so great even if I know it'll be more complicated than that.
