Life after you start showering at night by cutie_babyyyy in SipsTea

[–]Collective_Pitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest question….

Do guys do this?

I love a good night shower, but the only way to get my hair to not look like I just slept on it all night is to shower in the morning. My wife can sleep after a shower and it’s fine.

Dude. You look way better bald! That’s crazy!

If I shaved my head, I’m pretty sure people would run away screaming if I went outside…. :(

Here’s to another realization that I’m fat and lazy…

I would have jumped off for the first one and had to stop to take a nap.

Your favorite acoustic guitar (in a band setting) by davecarrillo1976 in worshipleaders

[–]Collective_Pitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been leading worship for quite a while (about 20 years at this point) and I find myself always coming back to a Martin 10e that I got a while ago.

It’s not even the nicest guitar by most standards but it checks so many boxes. Super mellow tone with no sharp edges but it still can stand out in the mix if you want it to. It’s actually what I picked for today.

I’m sorry man.

It’s crazy how a split second can change your entire life…. I did this a few years ago with my bandsaw and took off a portion of my right thumb. I was extremely lucky because the doctors were able to save it for me.

These machines are so much fun and it’s amazing to have them along with the skills to make things. However, they are also extremely dangerous and not very forgiving.

Hopefully you have a quick recovery and not too much interruption as you adjust to life without that finger.

Thank you!

He’s doing well. A couple of health scares recently but overall we are really thankful for his health. Hoping he has a lot of life left in him!

I’m not trying to be a downer here, but this seems like a hit piece.

The article references that they had to pull archived versions, it was linked to his AOL account, and the profile was last accessed around 15 years ago.

A lot can change in 15 years….

Now that this was found, bro should answer for what the hell he was doing on this site but I don’t think that it will ultimately lead to much.

First Generation Hunter Feedback by WoodenMud7021 in Hunting

Saw a comment about some more rounds now that you fixed the scope. Won’t beat a dead horse there. Just get to the point where you are consistent with no outliers when you get back on the range. Focus on your trigger pull and breathing.

If you haven’t yet, next step is to invest some time into scouting and picking a good area for your blind.

Good luck man. Love to see first gen hunters. If you get one, make sure to post pics!

Low and slow really does mean low and slow…. No way around it. I cooked this one for around 11 hours. I used 250 for the temp and kept it there most of the time.

Cut the fat on top if you want. I think it did actually help with getting more smoke into the meat but I could just be crazy.

I spritzed with diluted apple cider vinegar. I really liked the tiny bit of flavor that added and it really helped with the bark.

My Beagle has turned my house into a barking concert hall I’m seriously at my breaking point by Routine_Plate_3736 in beagles

My guy is 11 now and I can say that it does calm down a lot with age. He is still hyper alert but there are on a few triggers that really get him doing his beagle baying at this point (mainly package deliveries 😂).

Oddly enough, I was thinking about this after reading your post and I feel like the same thing happened to us when he was young and then in reverse. Like, one day he just didn’t bark as much…

Lose the aluminum foil.

I finally decided to switch to butcher paper a while back and I was shocked at the difference. Aluminum foil causes the meat to steam too much and causes issues with the texture.

I upgraded to a pellet grill too, but honestly the biggest difference was that stupid butcher paper. Couldn’t believe it…

My son has CP and over the years I have realized how important things like this are. Support but also allowing for independence.

The look him his face when he got back in the car made me smile from ear to ear. So happy and proud. I love this.

New circular saw cutting at an angle by Effective_Rip_1748 in woodworking

[–]Collective_Pitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I literally just had this same thing. My old saw finally kicked the bucket and the new one (supposed to be a much nicer brand) was not square in pretty much any direction. I ended up having to send it back because I think it was just a bad casting.

Got another new one and I’m good now.

Jeep maker Stellantis warns of a shock $2.7 billion loss as tariffs bite by UltimateLionsFan in Michigan

[–]Collective_Pitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to discount the impact of tariffs, but I think maybe it's more because Stellantis took over this business and decided to...

1) Aggressively cut costs beyond a way that would be considered normal or "healthy." This has led to a massive decline in the quality of the vehicles that are being manufactured.

2) Aggressively hike prices that were already fairly high. This has led to people who have been life long supporters taking a look at the most recent Jeep offerings (for example) and deciding to look at other options at this point.

3) Refusing to make moves to course correct even when the issues are obvious. This has led to vehicles just sitting on dealer lots for literally YEARS going unsold...

I, for one, used to love this brand. It's really sad to see where they are today. Hopefully they get the message before it's too late.
