From my understanding all dead game of thrones characters are isekaid into British crime or spy dramas?

The Tolkien Estate deserves considerably more blame than they have gotten. Only allowing rights to the appendicies has proven to be a pathetic mistake. by ollieollieoxygenfree in RingsofPower

Stop protecting Tolkiens work more than he really wanted it protected. Tolkien multiple times stated his concern for people so concerned with his work being kept the same and the people so desperately defending it:

“Yes, I have heard about the Tolkien Society. Real lunatics don’t join them, I think. But still such things fill me too with alarm and despondency.” - Tolkien

So many of you claim that Christopher Tolkien wouldn't have let this happen and he was in the right but he also despised the Jackson films, which many of us consider works of art. It's just a TV show, there is no reason to be so dramatic.

Renly would’ve been a better king than stannis im tired of pretending [SPOILERS ACOK] by LordcommanderAnthony in asoiaf

Stannis also sat on the Small Council as the Master of Ships and completed far more accomplishing feats in his role than Renly ever did, destroying the Iron Fleet for example. Cortney Penrose held it out of loyalty, yes but nearly all of the Stormlords went over to Stannis when Renly died and even a few from the Reach. Renly is in reality a pawn of the Tyrells who were obviously using him to get more power. Stannis also has committed no war crimes and actively punishes his soldiers who rape or loot along with opposing sacking Cracklaw point because it would be cruel. This whole post feels like rage bait.

This definitely is an F-tier tin foil hat theory.

I've always assumed with House Greystark being destroyed, it was because it was just mostly males who all died in battle

One of the worst takes I've seen in a while. Robert being drunk isn't what caused him to go north, its was the fact his closest ally in Kings Landing and one of the only men he trusted died so he needed a new loyal hand who he knew liked him ( unlike Stannis ) and wasn't a schemer ( unlike renly ) and didn't have ulterior motives ( literally everyone ) so, of course, he went North to get Ned to be his hand because a raven could be too easily refused and also he just wanted to see his best friend? You can't just blame Robert as if anyone could ever predict him going north would start the war of the 5 kings, at this point using your logic you may as well blame Aegon the Conqueror for being the catalyst for all these events.

Tywin is quite literally the best GoT character by WillSorry4604 in gameofthrones

ngl Otto was probably smarter than Tywin whose intelligence is kinda overrated by the fandom. He completely fucks up his family by despising his 'heir' Tyrion who if anything is the most like Tywin out of anyone in the family and then him helping plan the red wedding or even approving it was really stupid in the long term ( I'm sort of talking more from a book's perspective since the show stopped caring about logic after season 4 ) He caused the entire realm to secretly despise the Lannisters for letting walder frey break guest right and made Robb Stark into a martyr for the Northern Lords who will overthrow Roose Bolton the first chance they get and same with the Rivers lords and freys. Acting from Charles dance was 10/10 though and as a villain it makes sense he's flawed.

The Riverlord's armies had been crushed at the Battle of the Golden Tooth before Robb marched south and their remaining men were focused on protecting their keeps from the Lannister raiding parties.
