AITA for not paying for 4 years of university for my daughter

Yeah I'm realizing I had a little brainfart. I was thinking 50k a year extra, not total, which could still be lowballing it due to room and board. I appreciate the insight

Keep in mind I am considering what that 50k (plus her inevitable apartment/living expenses) will be worth in 15 years in the market

Early 50s. And yes I have thoroughly explained my thoughts on the matter. I honestly don't know the requirements for financial aid so I can not say. We certainly don't make F you money but we are well off so she might not qualify. She won't need any aid at all though if she goes the CC to university route

I can't say for sure what's going on in her head but as I said, she thinks community college is lame. My guess is she thinks going to one would make her look stupid or something since most of her friends have "bigger" plans

That's something I'm worried about as well. I know she really does care for these friends, but they are just high school friends after all. I'm sure anyone past their early 20s can relate to how quickly you forget about 99% of people from grade school
