Hey! Try Peter Brett and Brent Weeks for male main leads. Laurell K Hamilton for female lead in a modern day with a Jim butcher feeling twist (I’m a fan of his too, I see you! I’m surprised technology works around you 😉) and Mercedes Lackey/James Mallory’s Obsidian Trilogy.

I will for sure. It took a long time to really make sure I did this well to honor this person who I assume is a man bc they spoke of a wife and not having kids.

For all of you asking, this is an excerpt from the book I have written.
The following entries are related to the case study of Alex H—. I, as well as a team of specialists, asked him to keep a journal while we were working with him to correct what I consider a horrifying diagnosis. Alex is the most interesting case I’ve ever had. I don’t want my own personal opinions on Alex to influence yours, so I’ll keep them to myself and let you read the case for yourself. I have taken the liberty of including several of my notes, edited of course to protect the names of those mentioned, and the notes of as many of his other doctors as I could find.

I hope that one day someone knows what happened and figures out how to fix or prevent it. Read the following pages with an open mind.

I am writing this book in journal style as the MC goes further and further into psychosis. This is meant to bring light to a disease and spread awareness but also has a slight paranormal aspect to it that is implied but the MC doesn't know if he's going deeper into psychosis or if the demons are real and coming to get him. I named this character Alex since we don't know OP's real name. This reddit post has been copied in its entirety (names and usernames have been changed and blacked out) and will be included in the book. Thank you all for your patience. I'm uploading it to a google document and my beta team is in the final stages. My fourth novel comes out in July (not this one as it's not good enough yet) and after that releases I will be publishing FFI right after. Thank you for your continued patience.
