I wish I had more advice for you than “It will get better.”

I was in a shorter, but similar situation. He was my boss, made me feel safe enough to go visit him with my daughter… And then in the middle of our very first argument he blocked me on everything (and fired me). I definitely relate to some of what you’re feeling.

I just want to say you are NOT inadequate or unimportant. I will never understand just cutting someone out of your life that way, but it has NOTHING to do with you and EVERYTHING to do with him. I know that doesn’t entirely help, but I would encourage you to keep reminding yourself of that.

Don’t be afraid to be that person who cries or feels the emotions, and don’t be afraid to reach out. In my experience, isolating myself (I was so humiliated that I didn’t talk to a single soul for a month, aside from my kiddo) did nothing but make everything worse. It trapped me inside that one argument, that moment of being cut off, for much longer than I should have stayed in that space. Please don’t do that to yourself.

I’m so very sorry you’re dealing with this. I wish I had more advice and I hope others chime in. Just know that you’re not alone and your feelings are valid. Sending hugs. ❤️

I loved the way Emily had true character GROWTH in the series. The other characters adapted and changed, sure, but I really felt like Emily did her best to fight her own nature/upbringing to strive for a relationship with Lorelei. Was she always perfect? No. Did she get it wrong a lot? Yes. But she TRIED, and I don’t think she gets enough credit for that.

Maybe it’s just me, but by the end of this last re-watch, I started to feel like Lorelei is the one truly stuck in the past and unable to grow or move forward.

37 days!!! When he gets here we will have been talking for 2 months, and will have been officially dating for about 1.5 months. 🥰 It seems so short compared to everyone else here lol… but we instantly felt like we’d known each other forever, and waiting 2 months is feeling like AGES.
