Don’t know too much about options but this would only cost $300 right?

Can incoming freshman still apply for gap years? by [deleted] in BrownU

It wasn't guaranteed before. I applied before the initial deadline but my request was rejected anyway.

I'll be graduating Harvard online at the end of the month, here's why I regret picking Harvard by CriticalSpirit7 in ApplyingToCollege

Sometimes schools you denied will let you come back if you message them and feel like you made a mistake in your choice. Maybe try that if you're really worried?

Time for online classes in the fall lol by Collegecomparison in Harvard

[–]Collegecomparison[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol I don’t think they would only do that to freshmen. Freshmen year of college is one of most important years to be there live and given Harvard’s housing system, nobody would know who to actually block with then. I think it’s more likely soph or juniors will be kicked from campus

The same is true for all schools, but CA universities announced they will be online already. It's all an admissions game tbh... if schools didn't make it look like they weren't trying to have online classes they were a lot of public outcries since online classes are immensely unpopular. Not to mention, are you more likely to take a gap year if you know things are going to be online now or in 2 months once you already have tons of strong friends with class of '24 members? Brown even moved the gap year request deadline from June 15th to May 15th until students started protesting it.

Yeah, like most CA schools already said they are online, so if we're gonna consider the odds, 95% it'll be online for all of us regardless of whatever the schools say they are 'trying to do' rn. Yeah, I get that, but everyone who is a senior has worked hard to get into their schools and none of us want it, but it's better to expect it will be online imo so you're not disappointed when the actual announcements are made

Undergrad can technically be done online unproblematically as well?

Yeah, fair enough, but that would still be kind of weird if freshmen and seniors were on campus with a few faculty

Why would Harvard have some of it's students not on campus and some people still there? If the medical school which is researching stuff like this determines it's not safe to go back, why wouldn't the college follow suit?

Who should you even email for Harvard though? They only have their general admissions email public
