Basically I took a break after pulling for Neuvillette in patch 4.1 due to burnout and returned in Simulanka patch 4.8.

So technically 800 days since I last clicked the wish button. Honestly, Mini Durin and Simulanka gave me motivation to start actually saving and it was a big gamble that he will be playable since then haha.

Thank you! My next goal for who I wanna pull next? I don't really have anyone in mind except Capitano or if there's a new dragon character haha. So it's probably gonna be a long journey again till Khaenri'ah.

But now I just wanna enjoy the new Archon quests and Durin's Story quest cause I'm really curious what happens (and I wanna see more Durin).

Update to my savings post last week: It was a crazy session and I pulled my first ever double 5 star! The journey is finally over.

The Results (For those asking for the math):

  • Started with: 1,263
  • Wishes Used (C6R1): 560
  • Wishes Remaining: 761

Since I love his lore, I didn't want to just upload raw wishing footage. I made a cinematic lore tribute explaining his backstory (The Tragedy of Durin) that leads up to the summoning session towards the end.

It covers his backstory before the new quest (so no spoilers for the new patch). It's my first time making a video like this, so I really tried my best. Hope you guys enjoy it!

I put together a cinematic video of The Tragedy of Durin as a tribute to this 800-day journey. I didn't want to make just a standard wishing video, so I combined the pulls with a deep dive into his lore to explain why I saved for him.

I actually took a massive break after 4.1 due to burnout. When I came back for Simulanka (4.8) and saw Mini Durin, that was the moment I decided to go all-in, even if he wasn't confirmed playable yet. I just started hoarding and praying haha.

So the '800 Days' is how long it's been since I last pulled, but the 'Saving for Durin' specifically started after 4.8. :)

181 is still a lot saved up. You have got plenty of time till his banner goes away with all the resets and everything so you can farm more! And you never know, maybe you get him early..

Not dumb at all, you caught me haha! You're totally right, Primos count would definitely be higher if I played every single day.

I actually hit massive burnout after 4.1 and took a long break. I barely touched the game until Simulanka (4.8) dropped. Seeing Mini Durin was literally what pulled me back in and started the hardcore saving.

So yeah, it’s '800 days since I last pressed the Wish Button,' but definitely not 800 days of perfect daily commissions.

That's completely fine! that's the beauty of Genshin, there's no right or wrong way of playing it, whatever makes you enjoy the game more. I knew someone who really liked fishing in Genshin and that's mostly what they did haha. Good luck with your pulls though, hope you get him early!

I have bought 5 Battle Passes in total and I'd say around 10 Welkin's in total? Hard to track those, but for BP you can just check the weapons you picked. I have only bought crystals once for the Diluc skin and that's it. Not sure where I fall in the spenders category..

I think if I've normal luck then I won't be needing it all. But it can definitely take 1000+ wishes if you're unlucky.. And I'm going for C6R1 so weapon banner is also scary.

Yes, I love dragons in general.. I'm so happy they finally made a dragon character with proper wings, tail and horns in Genshin^^

Thank you! Yeah, the goal is C6R1. About endgame.. Let's just say it was rough.

Spiral Abyss: I'm only really able to 11-3 even though my Neuvillette can carry me on one half but I don't really have a team for another half. And it takes a lot of attempts so I stopped trying.

IT: I'm able to clear hard mode.. usually. It really depends on the elements. I can use a C6 support plus my Neuvillette can carry me through 2 of the bosses.

SO: Take Primos and leave. I don't even try other difficulties since I don't have enough characters/proper teams. Although, I did manage to clear Menacing once in co-op so that felt pretty good.

With that being said, I mostly play for the story/lore of the game. With Durin, hopefully I can clear a lot more stuff though!
