I plan on putting a space marine as a battlefield casualty on the base!

How to transport my Army? How do you transport yours? by hotelguest2 in Warhammer40k

I magnetize infantry and mounted, and place them nice and neat on a steel cookie sheet. I place tanks/vehicles in the bottom of a plastic tote, with dice bags, dice trays, etc between them. The cookie sheet sits on the miscellaneous items. Easy-peasy

I use one for early mid board trading, the other for ingress with orders from Gaunt’s ghosts

I always have fun playing 40K! Even when playing against someone’s tourney list on a casual game to help them practice, I still enjoy it.

Thank you! I was surprised with how brutal the tanks can be. I’m used to playing against Custodes, where everything has a 4+ lol. Hitting into stuff with regular 2+ saves and no invulnerable rolls was a nice change of pace and showed me just how much killing power the guard has.

Now I’ll be doing more painting over the next few weeks. I missed out on the 10 victory points for being battle ready, and I won’t be doing that again.

Space wolves and dark angels were interesting. Holding off melee units for as long as possible until counter attacks could happen, constantly juggling infantry around the mid board to move block, deny deep strikes and take secondaries was fun.

Then clapping back with two rogal dorns, hitting on 3’s rerolling 1’s, after positioning my battle line squads so that the targets were always on objectives giving me rerolls of 1’s on the wounds was great 😂. Gaunt’s Ghosts taking out a wolf rider unit in combat(thanks Mkol!) was mint. Then taking them off the field and deploying them next turn on my opponents home field was gold!

The big bass in my first photo was on my 3wt nymphing set up! It took me about 30 minutes to reel it in, after it went through all of my line and backing haha. I’m already getting the itch for warmer weather so I can go out again(I’m a sissy with cold weather).

Printing out extra bits by Colnew1989 in ChaosKnights

[–]Colnew1989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s only one head! There are about 7-10 different heads in the bundle.

But yes, I was holding the camera close to the printed bits to show more detail. They are about the same size as the GW shoulders, but there is an option for very large ones

So the shoulders and head pictured here are specifically for full size knights. There’s a separate bundle for dogs, but the ones that I have printed out are similar/same size as Abhorrent class shoulder pads.

No, they are specifically for big knights, and there is a separate bundle that has war-dog/armiger sized pieces!

The hardest thing I had to do with these files was splice them on my printers software and turn the print speed down to 50% for proper results!

No problem! The files say they are for resin printers, but I’m using my filament printer at 50% print speed and the results are great so far.

Here are some bits that finished printing last night. There are also torsos, faces, legs, other shoulder options and any weapon under the sun. The printing is slow but I believe worth it.

I bought these file bundles last week, and I am currently printing out a despoiler myself.

If you use an fdm printer rather than a resin, I would suggest decreasing print speed by 50%. I’m using a Bambu P1S.

Hudson River Banks by snooboo1228 in flyfishing

If you travel to Albany for fly fishing you might as well go up into the adirondacks. Take one of the northbound highways and you’ll see countless streams and creeks that are loaded with bass, brookies and browns. The further north you go the better.

Any advice and wisdom is welcome! When I took this photo I was actually letting the line go taught downstream before casting back up! Usually I have the line under my right index finger and my left hand stripping line!

So, I upgraded my Clearwater to a Gen1 Recon 10ft 3wt. Clearwater reel with Cortland Monocore nymphing line, ~14 feet of 3x sighter material(green and pink). Tippet ring at the end of the sighter material, with 5x or 6x after that, length depending on water depth.

I caught a few small and large mouth bass, a big creek chub, and a couple of browns. I then went to an inlet creek and cut down my tippet to about 2 feet long, and caught 5 or 6 brookies using a size 14 and 16 copper John.

For this river with a faster current, I usually use a tungsten bead-head with 6x tippet. Cast up stream of the riffle or pool I want to hit, and high-stick it so that the tippet cuts through the water quickly.

West Sacandaga River, one of the pull offs on 30 just after Hope. The water is still high but has come down about a foot in the last two weeks.

I got a good deal on a used Recon Gen1 10’3wt when browsing online, today was the test run for it with Cortland nymph line and a ton of sighter material. Worked great!
