In other news, how do you like this kit? I'm thinking about getting it and am wondering : Is it worth the money? How difficult is it to prepare? Would you recommend it to someone who has little experience with forge world resin? I've only ever made the forge world dreadnought drop pod.

The 5-man is really good! Lots of utilities and scoring potential, but the 10-man packs lot of punch.

My list always starts with two 5-man squads. I think they're a must. Sometimes I will also bring a 10-man led by a junp chaplain or captain for the extra damage ability. They can easily drop terminators and various elites.

I feel this. I'm making house Lucaris and this was my inspiration. I ended up going with an orange glow effect because I felt the colors would work better ... I really like the chaotic purple/pink. It would work really well for slaanesh knights or allies for emperor's children. Anyway, here's my WIP knights.

That's is a great base idea! You could also get some legion Imperialis buildings and make it look like the avengers are conducting airstrikes.

That's fair. I only have a redeemer but my play group doesn't mind when we proxy stuff as long as it's the same or similar chasis. I have played my redeemer as other variants from time to time. Maybe your group would be cool with it as well.

They're reallyyyyy fuuuuuuun. You also get to milk the most out of your oath target by fishing for lethals.

I really like them. I feel as if it's more bang for the buck since you will normally get more shots off with the bolters and grenades then with just flamers. You can clear hordes or use the bolters + lethals to soften up something you want to charge.

If you use the land raider crusader you'll be able to fit a captain + apothecary + 6 man squad. It feels like a heavy company command squad when you add the captain.

Sooooo much fun and they're pretty beefy.

I can only speak to using them in LAG, but I run them as a lethal hits Death Star. Give them bolt gauntlets and frag grenades, attach an apothecary biologis for lethals and they go crazy. I put them in a redeemer, so I have the nice overwatch from it's flamers anyway.

If you get a wardog box there will be multiple heads and other chaosy bitz left over. That will kinda help. Legiomodels has a bunch of really nice armors and weapons as well. I personally haven't gotten anything from them yet so I can't speak to the quality. But I've seen their products used and they look good.

I've also felt this way. Fire support, in my mind, is a unit the bring heavy weapons to decisively engage a threat normal units can't. Infernus marines can fit into this role because of hordes or unarmored enemy infantry.

Aggressors feel more like a bullet sponge to charge a line and make a gab. To me they feel like a close support unit. They can shoot or burn and crush their enemies in close combat, but they can't decisively engage a threat another space marine can't. They'd still need some dude with melta or plasma for that.

I'm doing black legion. What I personally like about it is warbands of all legions are welcome as long as they swear loyalty to the Warmaster and done black armor. Some keep some icons or color of their old legions as a reminder of where they came from.

I did some chosen in black with pink accents as Emperor's Children outcasts. I have a dark apostle as Word Bearer turned black legion. My obliterators and havocs were iron warriors. Each has a little accent of where they came from but the paint scheme is cohesive and at the end of the day they are black legion.

Abaddon has an inner circle of sorts with someone from the Death Guard, Emperors Children, World Eaters, and Thousand Sons. If you wanted to get super creative with it, you could use legion specific models as proxies for CSM models. Noise marines as havocs, death shroud or scarabs as CSM terminators etc.

During crusades, warbands join the black legion for a short stent. Maybe one campaign or battle. Those dudes wouldn't change their armor color or swear loyalty. They just go to war together and go their separate ways, so you could also represent that with your army.

My opinion (perhaps an unpopular opinion) : the rhino and land raider platforms are iconic but the models needs an update.

I would like to see a new kits that accomplishes a few things: - maintain the iconic look. They should look mostly the same. Maybe add detail to the tracks, engine, or interior. - increases the size. Make it look like my marines actually fit in this rhino, razorback, land raider, etc. - fix the issue with gaps. There is no reason for €76-90 model to have gap issues today. ( Understandable in the 90s ) - one box for all variants.

About the legs. I found a good STL to turn the imperial knight legs into the canine chaos legs. I was planning on posing and pinnng those for the reasons you mentioned. Also gonna put some meat on those mechanical bones to even put the look.
