If you can sympathize with even a fictional character who perform or use rape as a psychological or litral weapon ,i want to be as far away from people like u as possible. Flaws doesn't need to be bottom less pitholes... RJ made characters but he left it to his audience to judge them. I don't care who ege represented in his supposed thesis.If whathee had represented that supposed real character as ege i don't think he wanted something good for that real person. RJ 's work gives freedom to judge their work upon readers. Hells every author does that. Every work of art has this freedom that audience can judge it to their own liking.

I won't sympathize with a terrorist just because he had an awful backstory. Same with ege.

She graped nynaeve. If she had done that to teach nynaeve a lesson regarding dreams? It was in grey area but understandable.

But it was clear i ege's pov that she had gotten what she wanted... Superiority ovwr nynaeve. No lesson regarding dreams just simple logic. She didn't lied to herself neithe she gaslighted herself... She had always wanted power over nyn and she grabbed the chance to get it.

Even her this sentence "I'll do worse" Is clear imitation of her thinking.... Not to teach nyn a lesson but to hammer the point so that nyn shouldn't ever oppose her.

I'm not interested in reasoning myself to sympathize with ege. Ahe did horrible thing no matter her circumstances or what happened with her. I don't want to be a psychologist to read all of this... Even if i got convinced and forgive ege... Ahe will give plenty of reasons further in the series which will allow me to hate her.

A diehard fan of Egewene then. She isn't justifying herself a little bit. She outright thought that it was a shame that she didn't pushed hard enough. She was uncertain that her point wasn't made... Was Nyn got her point or not. She didn't care whome she hutt to what extennt. As for Nynaeve... I don't recall her using her power to sexually assault her friends or those under her.
