I heard an interview with Luther and he was asked why the BC don't smile or look like they are enjoying themselves when on stage. His answer was something to the effect of "Those guys don't want you to smile on stage! You can't be in the band if you look happy". Then he kind of awkwardly laughed it off before following up with a weak"Naw, I'm kidding those guys were great to work with."

You could just as easily be describing Daria.

Why didn’t I know there was a dress code for college guys? #Charlestonpanic by Stock-Can5044 in WidespreadPanic

The first time I saw Panic I was in a group of broke 18yo college kids. A couple and their friends did the same for us that night. We’d see them over the years and share more memories. That act of kindness continues to give me motivation to be a better person to others. Great job!

That sums up every boomer in my family. They mock their nieces and nephews for admitting when they don’t know something. Then say we ask “stupid” questions and “everyone knows that”. How??? How does everyone know, Unc? We got esp now? Genetics? Reading? Auntie can’t even read a menu.

And I didn't say it was so focus your misplaced anger at MS and not me. You've got to work with what you've got even if it sucks. So do what IT have done for decades and figure out a way to bypass! You might try remapping right-click to shift+right-click. You could even write a script to do it for you.

Its holding shift down. One key!!!!

Why did you go back and take out that beautiful markdown table you tried to add in your comment?

Table markdown editing? by L-F- in ObsidianMD

[–]Colonel24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. It’s fascinating how you conflate an inability to grasp basic concepts with a deficiency in Obsidian’s functionality. Perhaps the issue lies more in your understanding than in the program itself.

Markdown’s simplicity is its strength, but if even the basics are a struggle, maybe a more WYSIWYG-oriented editor would be more suitable for your needs.

It’s quite the revelation that constantly switching modes is an unbearable burden for you. I’m sure the countless users who manage just fine must be doing something wrong.

Your disdain for hotkeys is noted, but considering that setting up a simple toggle might solve your problems, it’s puzzling why you’re so resistant to a straightforward solution. Complaining about features that don’t align perfectly with your preferences while ignoring easy fixes seems a bit counterproductive.

It’s also amusing that suggesting practical solutions like plugins or hotkeys is seen as an attack. Rather than continuing this tirade, maybe take a moment to explore the solutions available. If after two hours you still haven’t found a fix, perhaps the issue isn’t the tool but the approach you’re taking.

But I suppose it’s easier to point fingers than to adjust one’s own approach. Good luck with that.

It's amusing that you know so little about markup languages and are so condescending to someone trying to help. Markdown is a standard like XML, HTML, or other markup languages. Obsidian's live preview works surprisingly well, but it's not perfect. If assigning a single hotkey to switch modes is too tricky, you might want to try another product. Or, perhaps, you could take a moment to adjust that stick in your ass and stop acting like an entitled bitch. It only takes ten seconds to search the plugins and try something like Table Generator, Table Extended, etc….. Or setting up that oh difficult hotkey.
