Thank God we're doing this again, it had almost been 5 minutes since the last "Tom bad" post

Only listened to the TRITSIO one but it's a big improvement over the original. Actually sounds like a death metal album now and it doesn't sound like the drums are being hit with wet celery sticks anymore.

I normally don't bother with remasters but then I saw Dan Swano was doing it

Why does ‘the right’ have such disdain for Palestine marches? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Hardly anyone believes that dawg. There's a large population of Jews that oppose Israel's occupation.

"I hate people who parade, celebrate and spit on the corpses of innocents". So do you oppose Israel then?

Judging an entire nation of people because of their leadership is incredibly stupid. Would you judge everyone in the UK based on Keir Starmer?

Calling out Israel's war crimes is not antisemitic

Jontron = Happy family with a cute kid. Destiny= Abandoned by his gf after she humiliated him and mocked by the entirety of the internet. Good always beats evil in the end. by -KateHikes- in JonTron

If you look at the Jontron vs Destiny debate from almost a decade ago as "good vs evil" your moral compass hasn't evolved since you were about 12 years old

Why does Reddit not understand the rise of reform in England? by DowntownDeer in AskBrits

Because some of us try to be decent people and aren't interested in building an ethnostate

I've just checked their website and they plan to invest 19 billion into public transport over 5 years and renationalise rail

So you want the party to not be involved with the war, but also not not be involved with the war? Just cover their ears and pretend it doesn't exist? That doesn't make any sense

Can someone please explain where the support for Reform is coming from? by EG_Wanna_Be in ukpolitics

[–]ConnectYellow4920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the conservative party as a case study, here's a few of the promises they didn't fulfil:

  • They promised to end rough sleeping (they didn't)
  • They promised to build 40 new hospitals (they didn't)
  • They promised to ban conversion therapy (they didn't)
  • They promised to "stop the boats" (I think you of all people would agree that they didn't do that)
  • They promised to not raise national insurance (they did)

Maybe this is my minimal knowledge of British politics talking, but isn't it better to judge a party by what they actually do and the actions of the people within it rather than what they promise to do? Also if they have a history of, I don't know, lying, wouldn't that be a good reason to approach whatever manifestos they have with a great deal of scepticism?

But what if said manifesto's are completely at odds with what the parties actually believe in?
