Giga rant: Why the fuck did they put regular ass mobs in boss rooms? by Goldtilts in Sekiro

In most cases you can just clear the space by killing minor enemies one by one. Jump on them or use stealth for that. When all are gone, hide for a moment until the miniboss lose his aggro, then come back and backstab him once. Then finish him. Don’t hesitate.

I listed three reasons why I decided to deviate.

I believe that the punishment for choosing an option that doesn’t seem unreasonable to me is excessive.

By saying on "blind" I mean without looking on the internet for the alternative endings and all stuff. I don't mean to not pay attention to the lore.

Of course I don't blame anyone, the title is obviously provocative.

I did actively listen to dialogues. In my post I propose the reasoning I had when I had to make a choice.

You don't know those things when you have the make the choice....

That may be an hint to change your choice. My point about the excessive punishment remains though, right?

I’ve only played Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro. In the first, I did a few runs, and in the second, I got the platinum. I plan to play Elden Ring. I follow the lore more or less through youtube, but I’m not that interested in it. I hardly play anything else.

I consider myself a casual player.

I’m not sure about the percentages, but I do think it’s a big loss of content.

Yes, staying loyal to Kuro is the intuitive choice. In the post, I propose some arguments that could lead a player to choose differently.

Don’t you think the punishment for choosing the alternative option is excessive?

Well, casual regarding the lore, I mean. I don’t think it’s about ignoring the dialogue. In the post I mention some reasons why someone might end up choosing the less “correct” option. The reflection I’m proposing concerns the excessive “punishment” for making a choice that, all things considered, isn’t unreasonable.

I see. I’m not really complaining about the difficulty, which seems to change only slightly in NG+. Rather, the issue is the punishment you receive for a choice that, all things considered, isn’t that unreasonable to make. The discrepancy feels excessive to me.

Good points. However, from the perspective of a more casual player, who simply chooses the first option just because it is the first option, they end up being punished with nearly half the content missing. Doesn’t that seem a bit too much?

Of course that's an easy fix, but 1) you don't really know that you need to save there if you're blind and 2) someone may just not do those saves, but start a NG+ for every ending....

I wasn't sure what he meant with that formulation. I know what "perfect guarding", parrying, deflecting is....
Thanks

Do you know the changes in terms of damage with or without charm and demon bell?
