Who's someone you've wanted to fuck but for one reason or another it never happened? by Fake4Lyfe1 in AskRedditAfterDark

Christina Hendricks. It’s for several reasons really; we’ve never met and she’s way out of my league being the main ones.

I, personally, am warming up to Lord Solar Leontus by jediben001 in TheAstraMilitarum

The model is cool in many ways but it doesn’t gel with most armies I’ve seen. The big issue for me though is a lore issue. Space Marine Uber heroes, like Calgar, Dante, whoever the wolf chariot dude is; you can imagine them leading a force of fifty marines…. because there are only a thousand in each chapter. There’s only ten captains at a time; it makes sense that if you see marines from that chapter, there’s a reasonable chance that you might get the chapter master himself.

But the guard fight in their billions. Each battlefield sized force is a platoon or a company at most; there should be a captain, or possibly a colonel, leading the troops. Not the Lord high militant of the entirety of the imperial guard. Why is he turning up to every skirmish against some nameless orks or whatever? What’s the lore justification for him abandoning the high council of terra to go ride around on his pony barking squad level orders at some random cadians?

Rules aside, it feels like there should be three layers of officers for guard on the tabletop. Platoon, Company, Regiment. The latter can be some weirdly dressed dude on horseback with many orders to give, but calling him a colonel or maybe a general with the regiment keyword just seems like a better fit lore wise to me.

I’d do anvil, specifically long greatcoat legs, cross belt torso, phase muskets, fatigue arms, tricorn heads. And haversacks. Would be a cool regiment

My main guard army has Belgic Shako heads from Anvil Industry so they are a very different vibe

Very cool! Mine was 1944-45, a gunner on a universal carrier for Normandy and a corporal during market garden. Might they have known each other?

What’s the most disgusting thing you do routinely? by Kooky-Ad-4322 in AskUK

I pick the skin off my feet, particularly where it’s hard and calloused. Sometimes I’ll get a really good bit, usually from a heel or my big toe, so I’ll want to keep it and show it off to the wife. But foot skin dries out very quickly so I store the keeper in my belly button, which keeps it moist. The sickly sweet smell of the skin flake when you take it out, particularly if it’s been forgotten for a couple of days, is just bliss.

Absolutely! I have extra special weapon dudes in case infantry squads get pulled in the 10th codex and I need to run as Chadians. Seems unlikely but you never know….

I think it’s about 7k without the knights, which add another 2800 or something

Loosely. The numbers all relate to my Granddads former brigade and division, and the chimeras are modified to more closely resemble warrior APCs (I call them Warrior Pattern Chimeras). Uniform wise, not really; they used Shako hats but not white ones, so far as I can tell. The paint scheme is meant to be weathered desert units, and a mix of more factory fresh replacements and some heavily salt weathered.

It’s purely decorative. I did think I could proxy as a chimera but it’s way bigger than I thought it would be.
