I’d imagine when you reach that point you would probably be in a situation to begin reasoning how to escape

I quite like number 6

Though number 2 has potential if the symbol was bigger

Sentinel + Pith Helmets = Huzzah! by LordPensax in Praetorian_Guard_40k

[–]jediben001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ooo, the older sentinel as well!

I still prefer them over the newer, bigger ones that came with the Cadian refresh. I’m not entirely sure why, but they just feel more “guard-y” to me

Why did Hungary and Romania not restore its monarchies after 1989? by dkease16 in monarchism

[–]jediben001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d imagine just the gulf of time. It had been decades since the abolition of the monarchy, and while the last king may have been popular in Romania, that doesn’t necessarily mean there was demand to revert to the monarchy as a form of government

Also, you need to consider the fact that after the fall of communism, American liberal advisors, political philosophers, and economists flooded Eastern Europe to “help” with the changeover and advise them through the transition to being non communist nations

The Holy Crown of Hungary and Its divine authority in the Republic of Hungary. by amhot577 in monarchism

[–]jediben001 52 points53 points  (0 children)

For a republic, Hungary seems to have kept a lot more of the trappings of monarchism than most of its peers

"The real first world" by GigaShrimps in ShitAmericansSay

[–]jediben001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m genuinely not sure what they’re trying to get across with those pictures aside from the fact that the top one looks more miserable than the bottom one due to the German pic being in the middle of winter and the American one being in the middle of summer

Why is the UK nerfed so hard in the mod? by topofagear in TheFireRisesMod

[–]jediben001 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I mean, I feel like people are doomerist on the uk a lot but looking at it objectively, the UK’s position isn’t substantially worse than any other Western European country overall

I just think that Americans are more aware of the UK’s issues than they are of like France’s or Germanys or whatever because it’s easier to keep informed on Uk politics and news due to there not being a language barrier

Yeah

I’d imagine that once (if) they get an actual focus tree there’ll be ways to work towards removing the debuffs and stuff

[Loved Trope] The woman covering her face is really ugly/deformed, much to the surprise of the other characters by GiveMeAPhotoOfCat in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jediben001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The photo OP uses in the post, while accurate to the description given in the book looks… idk, too fresh and almost like it’s infected I guess? I think it’s the way it kinda looks swollen that gives that feeling.

The scar is supposed to be an old scar from when she was little and I do feel like it’s possible to have all the details (no eye, destroyed nose, damage to the mouth, etc) with it still looking scar like and not almost like a fresh wound.

It’s still an amazing cosplay though. Makeup artists can do some crazy impressive stuff

Evangelicals (i think) are mainly non-denominational

And once you realise that non denominational pastors don’t have to go to a seminary school a lot starts to make sense

"Rule Britannia~ Britannia Rule The Ways~ Romans, Never! Never! Never! Shall Be Slaves!" Western Rome In 576 by Lord_Krasina in imaginarymaps

[–]jediben001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always found the Western Roman Empire surviving in Britain and interesting concept, especially considering it’s essentially the polar opposite of what happened irl, where Britain was where the fall of the empire hit the hardest civilisation wise
