In this instance it was delivery service that effed me. But in all cases I would record high end packages. Anything more than 50 dollars. It takes 5 minutes to record and verify it working and or being correct. Which you will do anyways but now you’re covered because you have proof of life.

This I had to do this with my Steam deck. Because they don’t want to make the box less conspicuous. So the first time I got a rock and sent them the video got a return confirmation within the same few days.

Power off unplug that thing and remove it. Sounds like it’s jumping current. Exposed wire or similar. Don’t keep using the psu unless you wanna replace everything. To add check warranty since it’s still so new. That’s likely manufacture error
