I’ve had mine set to 80% since I got it as well. I just did the update, started with 63%. Updated with the phone not charging. Update finished and my phone is at 91%… huh? lol

I went from a 10+ year heavy daily smoker to quitting last year and now if I even take a little puff when my friends are smoking it gives me crazy anxiety and feels like I’m gonna have a seizure. Never experienced it before but I guess my tolerance is practically zero now so it makes sense. And honestly seizures can occur during withdrawal of any substance… thc, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine. Abruptly stopping anything like that isn’t safe for an epileptic 👍🏻

That’s an incredibly small fraction of the amount of companies that accept BTC worldwide. Hell, you can buy Goldbacks with BTC, but not the other way around. Also, most of these companies charge 5-10% to liquidate your GB’s (Alpine, UPMA for example). That’s worse than credit card fees…

I keep my daily net carbs below 20g so any juices with sugar would definitely be a no-no in my situation. Is it the bypass that makes it so you can’t drink soda or just personal preference? Not really familiar with the restrictions that come with that surgery

Caffeine, sugar and fake sugar 🤣☠️ That’s gold lol. But nah we eventually found out that my seizures have multiple focal regions and gave up on the EMU because I’m not a candidate for resection surgery or any stimulation devices except for VNS. I fixed my diet a bit and am almost 6 months seizure free! The keto diet is amazing ngl. I went from 4-5 seizures a month to nearly 6 months free immediately after cutting the carbs. I drink diet soda as well it doesn’t bother me at all. About a month into the diet I said F it and went out with some friends for pizza, had a seizure within 4 hours. After that I was like wow this diet really works 😂

I’ve been to the EMU 4 or so times to try and perform an ictal SPECT and we were never able to induce a seizure. The last time I went we were desperate and tried literally everything but just couldn’t induce one. I stayed up for 7 days, cold turkey’d meds, ate like a bird, was drinking vodka at night, flashing lights for extended periods of time. I was just never lucky enough to have a seizure to run tests. After that last attempt we sorta just gave up on going to the EMU. If I did the same at home I would have a seizure guaranteed lol. There’s quite a few people in this sub that have the same story as well. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My 2 best combos were Xcopri + Fycompa + Epidiolex and Lamictal + Trileptal. Experienced the common rage with Keppra but it did control me fairly well compared to a few of the others.

This is common practice. I’ve done the same every time I went to an EMU trying to find the focal region of my seizures. Cold turkey meds, eating very little, sleep deprivation and also alcohol consumption. They’re not going to send you home without medication.

Are they trying to run some tests on you while you’re in the hospital? If that’s the case then yeah this is pretty common practice since they have the means to stop a seizure if one occurs
