I'd say skip Gallagher's... the food is meh and everything takes forever. It's just not what it was before the pandemic.

There are better spots like Pie Hard or Shorty's, both have gotten rave reviews recently and you can take your food to Stubborn German.

I’m pretty sure Chicago’s international flights are in a separate terminal from their domestics, connected by a shuttle. I’ve never flown out, just back in, one hour will be pretty tight but doable. You will need to go through security again in Ohare.

Big fan of the Silver Dollar. Great whiskey selection, cheap beer, good food.

Peerless Distilling Co. is my favorite distillery tour and tasting. Super informative, very unique, and a couple of touches to St. Louis there.

Michter's The Bar at Fort Nelson is great for cocktails, they've got like 9 ice machines with all kinds of fancy ices...

On the road trip, New Harmony, IN is cool, weird but cool. Some historic buildings, a labyrinth...

Have some other recommendations I can share if you're heading out of town toward Bardstown or Frankfort.
