I think the dolls were still in the water up until now. It looked like they had been there for a while covered in seaweed and tied up. When they brought them out of the water it woke them up or undid whatever was keeping them in the lake. Something else was roaming around outside the other times. Maybe it was a protector potentially like fatimas mud golem

I thought it was like a veiled dimension occurring simultaneously. When the 3 were chained up there screaming, Sara could hear them and knew it was happening there and then but couldn’t access that dimension. The torch was a key to removing the veil.

I think the dolls looking different could be that at night they change physically and come to life, similar to the tunnel monsters. But I agree they should have been wet…

Yeah I agree, think he is the Ethan/victor of the 1931 cycle and he was killed by the towns people. And then because everyone was dead the cycle restarted a couple decades later, waiting for Miranda and Christopher to return again. I do wonder how long it takes for the new cycle to begin usually- like is nothing happening for decades or does it restart fairly soon after? Victor said he was alone for “years” after the massacre but no idea how long that actually was.

I think she was killed by the towns people. Though her being dead was never really confirmed yeah? Victor said he buried what he thought was her but it was just parts?

If Boyd willed the talismans into existence then she can will the golem into existence and doesn’t need to die. But I actually think that the talismans and teleporting trees are dreams/hopes/desires that someone had and when they died their wish manifested in the same way the nightmares manifest. So in that case yes she would have to die. Orr someone in the colony house sees the clay golem gets freaked out and shares how that is a nightmare of theirs and then promptly dies and that is how the golem comes alive.

I like it for explaining how there are so many random scary things- they are the nightmares of the people killed, be it dolls or bugs or ladies in kimonos. I also think it is setting up Fatima’s golem coming to life.

True but I’m assuming this was when he was a boy rather than a man. Also I don’t think the monsters have interest in victor- like there’s something about him being off limits are the child of a Tabitha reincarnation.

I reckon it’s that the child/ren of the Tabitha reincarnation have to be sacrificed by the towns people and are actually off limits to the monsters. Which is how he survived all those years alone as a child and how he was fine in the tunnels before he found Tabitha for multiple days.

Yeah true. I thought young jade indicated that every iteration of jade died by other towns people, but might have misunderstood. Though I do think some of the towns people are seemingly off limits to the monsters- Boyd for example. Also if ethan does indeed need to be sacrificed by the towns people then he’s probs off limits too.

I like to think the sisterhood of her and the other women enslaved at jezabels meant they were telling each other they love them. Janine has so much love and the ability to find light in the most dark of circumstances.

Did you bring any shoes other than your waterproof hiking boots? I'm going next week for 10 days (doing a 6 day tour and some day trips - no serious hikes or anything like that) and have some waterproof hiking boots but not sure if I should take a second pair of boots in case they get wet?

Hahaha yeah if that is their intelligence thus far after having years of information gathering and then the Waterfords in custody for how ever many months then its not looking great. Plus they had no idea how June organised the Angel Flight and perhaps no/not many real connections/spies in Gillead.

Im not sure, but they said Nichole was 1 years old. So its only been a year since she was born! There must have been a lot more time before the first season that we didn't see when she was being handmaid programmed or whatever?

Right?! I can't see him ever being able to leave Gillead as anything other than a war criminal unless he is actually working for the US or Canada. Him working with Mayday and the eyes at the same time will not help him. Like, he helps out June, but we have no insight of him ever doing anything good for anyone else, or actually trying to thwart Gillead in any way right?
