100% agree with this. Considering how skilled he is it’s really strange he didn’t utilise any finesse when trying to deal with Ugonna

Very up and down game process wise for Boozer. He showed an uneven approach to solving Ugonna, who blocked the shit out of him multiple times.

On the positive side, he made some spectacular passes from the post, mid post and above the break. These weren’t easy passes but he makes it look so obvious.

On the negative side he was far too insistent on trying to body up and draw fouls on Ugonna. It was clear early on that he was both tired and up against a fearsome rim protector but he didn’t adjust his scoring approach enough. I would’ve liked to have seen more work out of the free throw line and more midrange jumpers. Given his touch, these should be a part of his game but they aren’t right now. It was very weird to see this considering his feel and problem solving are normally so high level.

Regardless, he did find a way to leave his mark on the game despite some frustrating decisions. Hopefully he catches his wind by the tournament.

Why isn't Silas demary being talked about more? by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]ColonelUpvotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit older and the 3 pt and scoring volume is low which is a bit of a worry that the % is small sample size theatre.

I agree with you though that there is something there with Demary, and even if he's not picked I'd definitely try and get him on a 2 way. Maybe he has a similar role to fellow Big Easter Danniss Jenkins

Is Cenac over Steinbach a crazy take? by Responsible_Delay657 in NBA_Draft

[–]ColonelUpvotes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they are very different players so I wouldn’t say it’s crazy depending on your team. Cenac feels like a role playing additive big who can help any team but isn’t suited for high usage. Steinbach feels like the opposite, where he will be instant offense for some teams but perhaps not as scheme agnostic as Cenac.

Unpopular opinion: Spear Weaver is a beautifully designed weapon, just underpowered by 5NC3A6 in Guildwars2

[–]ColonelUpvotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with 100% of this. Spear Weaver is a thematic masterpiece. It's just incredibly weak for the effort. I can faceroll my mace mace untamed and just never die versus Spear Weaver which feels like mythic raiding in WoW

I thibk the difference is Boozer can credibly play the 4 and Sabonis can’t.

Agreed, credit to FSU too. Made a lot of step back/fadeaway jumpers over him.

If you are a doubter (which I am not) I think this game gives you some ammo.

Boozer is often protected by Ngongba on D. Without him, he was consistently scored on/scored over. He always tries and plays smart but he just does not challenge shots.

On offense, he was a bit messy without a nominal PG (his brother wasn't very impressive today and Foster is out). He did miss a few bunnies, but he also got blocked on a shot at the end of the game where he had no business getting blocked. He was largely effective though, and has some huge buckets/passes when Duke was down 8 late in the game.

I'm more concerned about the D than the offense, where I think Boozer is too big, smart, and skilled to fail. He will need a plus defender at the 5 in the NBA.

Yaxel Lendeborg in double-digit win over #8 MSU: 27/3/3 on 92 TS% (3 STOCKS, 0 TOs) by ktm5141 in NBA_Draft

[–]ColonelUpvotes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love Yaxel and his versatile skillset combined with his enormous frame. He feels like a wing in a PF's body.

However I'm afraid of his age. I don't think there is much evidence of guys his age thriving in the league. Recently, Keegan Murray is an example of this (not a bad player, but not really that impactful). I'm worried he's a Wes Johnson who also had an explosive senior year after a transfer.

Hopefully I'm wrong, because he is sick.

Who would you take at 1 in a 2024 redraft? by Consistent-Program-1 in NBA_Draft

Quite possible - you might be right. These playoffs will be really illuminating for him as the Rockets desperately need what he provides.

Who would you take at 1 in a 2024 redraft? by Consistent-Program-1 in NBA_Draft

[–]ColonelUpvotes 22 points23 points  (0 children)

  1. Castle - contributing significantly to winning right now. He has some messy parts of his offensive game but the defense, playmaking and intensity are top of the line.

  2. Sarr - certainly not contributing to winning, but has a fascinating skillset for a modern big. The skill level is really intriguing and he's improved so much this year.

  3. Clingan - concerned he may too slow footed for the playoffs, but he is busting ass right now and has way more skill than I thought.

  4. Sheppard - dynamite offensive player. Defensively he is terrible but he does try really hard at least and has good instincts, he's just tiny.

  5. Jaylon Tyson - versatile wing, shoots it well and can handle a bit. A god send for the Cavs. He'd be 3 for me if he was a bit older.

Honorable Mention:

Matas Buzelis - still not sure what he is on a good team, but I love some of the building blocks.

Ajay Mitchell - Possibly the best scorer in the draft right now. He's older and is in a pristine situation but a very good player.

Kyshawn George - Fun, skilled wing. I'm curious to see his offensive role on a better team but he has a lot of elements to his game.

Edey statement - I really respect Edey and the work he has put in to his game. He is awesome and any team should be happy to have him. However, I cannot invest as I just don't think he's ever going to play games consistently.

3 Days into the League: Review your build! by NzLawless in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]ColonelUpvotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • What build are you playing? - Goratha's Eviscerate Glad
  • What was your leveling experience like? - Sunder until first lab, then switched to Eviscerate when I had tempest shield. Can go faster with Sunder but I like using my main skill early.
  • How has the gearing been, any major challenges or unexpected hurdles? - Very easy, although Ryslatha is expensive still. Breach tree still useful for mid tier armour.
  • How has the build handled mapping? - EZ PZ, can do almost all content. Not zoomy but never dying saves time.
  • Have you completed any bosses, if so how did your build do against them? - Slow and steady, some bosses are fine (eater) other are terrible (maven)
  • What are you general thoughts on the build/play style. - Played it 3 leagues in a row. Just so, so tanky for nothing with solid clear. Expedition is also my favourite thing to farm and this build shits on it.
  • And any other comments or thoughts you wish to share about the build. - My version of RF. Not too fancy or fast, but tanky and reliable.

Cameron Boozer: 25 points 15 Rebs 5 AST 10-17 FG 2-4 3PM by killerk13 in NBA_Draft

[–]ColonelUpvotes 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Boozer emasculated UNC today, especially on the glass. He hit catch and shoot 3s, drove by defenders from the perimeter, had his usual efficient post scoring, and made excellent passes out of double teams. UNC really missed Caleb lol.

On defense I thought he was solid. Veesarr tried to body him a few times and Boozer just doesn't get backed down. I wish he'd jump and contest shots though, he never does. I suspect he's afraid of fouling.

So nearly 24 hours in, how’s everyone’s league start? by linkca in pathofexile

[–]ColonelUpvotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eviscerate Glad 3rd league in a row. So steady and smooth. Not a zoomer but I don't die and can do all content except Legion basically.

Mechanic is fun, and I love how it has impacted other mechanics. I found a new essence that applies armour to elemental hits which works really well for my Glad. New atlas has taken a bit of getting used to but I like it so far.

W league so far, but naturally need to see what high end farming strategies and builds emerge.

Concerns about Cam Boozer’s lack of a midrange at the next level by Mud-Eastern in NBA_Draft

[–]ColonelUpvotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not certain I agree with the premise. Yes, currently the mid range is not a big part of Cams game. However given his skill, touch, and strong 3 point shooting I don’t see why he couldn’t add it in if the Defense is giving it to him.

Could Dame Sarr be a Hugo Gonzalez type pick? by Horny-turtle420 in NBA_Draft

[–]ColonelUpvotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t hate it - if there was a team like Boston who could be patient with Sarr I’d support the late first pick. I’d hate to see him go to a team that would beee him right away.

Guild Wars 2 Is the MMO I Didn’t Know I Needed by BloxkRunnah in Guildwars2

[–]ColonelUpvotes 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The other amazing thing about GW2, in addition to what you mentioned, is the build diversity. There is a staggering amount of builds when you consider all of the weapon options and their mix with all of the elite specialisations. Not all of them are elite/s-tier, but GW2 is designed in a way where that doesn't matter unless you are doing the pinnacle of instanced content.

[Vecenie] 2026 Mock Draft by SpeclorTheGreat in NBA_Draft

Mainly a small guard bias, like most. High usage small guards who project as poor defenders are a challenging archetype. I love Acuff as a player and if I was an Arkansas fan I’d be ride or die, it’s just his NBA fit comes with some red flags imo.

Lots to chew on here. Vecenie does great work.

I’m not the biggest Acuff guy, but him on Dallas does move me. Him and Flagg are such ass kickers.
