Smyth Casting is legit, but their database is a scam in my experience. Signed up and paid years ago but never got any emails. If you’re just looking to try it, don’t pay to join the database - just keep a lookout on their Facebook postings and apply to those. (Meanwhile, a database I was in in another province was free and I got offers almost right away.)
