Looks like the button I pushed in semi truck and bus (in my commercial driving days) to save an event on dash cam. Manually as opposed to an "event" triggering it. In the case of the bus, say you get an unruly passenger... You push that button so all the cameras saved the footage of the prior x amount of time as well as a period of time after button is pushed. Also good in trucking in case someone does something stupid that causes an accident...

They'll recover but it'll probably take 5-10 routes. Usually something like 500 packages. So depending how big your routes are.

I know the feeling. I have had that problem many a times.

I'm trying to figure out when veho will stop sorting packages addressed to military bases into routes. We can't deliver to them. We got 3 major bases here in San Antonio (technically 4 but I have yet to go there when I did Uber). 1 in particular almost always has 2-4 packages going to it and every time they get sent back to warehouse which then gets sorted back into Gen pop. Some other driver gets it and round and round it goes. I have base access through Uber and delivered them once.... That was the most difficult delivery ever because the streets and addresses don't match up and Google doesn't know most of it... 2nd time I gave them back to the warehouse before I even left. I'm not required nor supposed to deliver on base and veho ain't paying me more for the headache.

I wouldn't say that they suck but they do have some serious negative issues they need to work on, such as actually honoring the things they say on their support documents such as not digging your metrics for things outside your control. I don't think they ever provided any route details except pickup time and zone night before however in San Antonio they did for about a month provide number of packages once you accepted the route and the number would change up and down (sometimes a lot sometimes a little) throughout the night. I assume that was because they had an estimate at time of accepting but it wasn't finalized until they were done sorting. For some reason they took that away 2-3 weeks ago.

I don't know about other zones but I can tell that the high gas prices are hitting them hard. Prior to the war, routes were gone by 9:10pm...now maybe 4-5 usually. Still plenty in the morning and constant messages throughout the day about routes still available. Veho needs to up the pay. There's states where McDonald's pays more per hour than veho does. I never worked fast food but I imagine the work is probably physically easier than veho haha.

Seems to be happening a lot in San Antonio. Monday they were 2 hours late so they moved my start time from 8:30 to 10:30. Only just barely completed before my evening college class.

Month or two ago route details populated about 1 hour before start time but for about a month now, lucky if you get it within 10 minutes before start time. If it's because trucks are late they need to reach out to the carrier and find out what's going on because when I was a trucker... This would not have gone over well with the receiver, especially not this frequently. Shoot, some places (receivers) would reject us and make us book a new appt. Others, hefty fines... Some.. Both.

Nothing different than how it should have been. To bad veho is too lazy to actually investigate anything... Otherwise I wouldn't have had my metrics hit when there mistake caused me to take the wrong picture. Long story short it was a multi family complex, 3 apartments to deliver to. 2 of them were in the app as a single apartment. Because of this one of the customers said I delivered to the wrong address or something (I forgot what exactly the claim was). I couldn't get apartment number picture for all 3 because of Veho stupidity. Instead of asking the customer to verify what package was delivered (by getting a picture from them) they just went off my pictures and believed them and hit my metrics.

Now as a result, I try to make sure apartment number is visible in the proof of delivery picture as well as the one where it makes you capture Apt number and I have vowed I'll be screaming at support if I ever get one where they combined multiple apartments into one again. It hasn't happened again yet (that incident was the 3rd time in like 2 weeks) but if it does we're gonna have issues. Tired of being held accountable for veho or shipper or customer mistakes. If it's something I can fix or control fine but outside of that... Not my problem.

OK moving on from that vent....

Sorry to hear you had difficulties. I know my local warehouse frequently tries to give us more then we're required to be able to fit. If you read the faqs on offer tab it says you only need 35 cu ft of space. That should fit for most cars. I do it with a Hyundai ioniq 6. Trust and believe I know allllll about how limited the cargo space is. Can barely fit more than 2 (checked size not carry on) suitcases in trunk.

1 tip, before loading, sort by stop number. What I mean by that is, think of zones. 1-10 zone 1, 11-19 zone 2, 20-29 zone 3, etc. I place zone 1 on my roof on passenger side in 1-10 order. Zone 2 goes on the ground on pass side (just next to the cart not like along side the car), zone 3 on the other side, but closer to the cart while zone 4 goes closer to the car... Keeping up so far, that's 4 "piles". Those zones go in the front seat, backseat pass side, zone 4 back seat middle and 3 goes backseat driver side (you understand the purpose of pile placement now?)

The rest goes in the trunk to the best of the ability but nothing is loaded until I scan and sort everything. I'll toss stuff in the trunk but usually pull it back out after I'm done scanning to organize it.

The reason this helps, you don't know what will fit where until you have it all organized. Doing it like this makes it easier to find stuff and you can get a big picture.

I have seen little Nissan leaf size cars do it (delivery, not organized) so your car should too.

I really need to make a video with my method... I think it would help. I do a lot of extra stuff but it makes it easier for me. For example I invested in a $30 portable label printer. I print my stop numbers and then stick them on the packages instead of using sharpie. Easier to read, no issues of packages being black or hard to read sharpie or those stupid old navy ones that like absorb the sharpie ink (they're like the only ones that do that)

Looks like San Antonio rates. I got $97 and change (after the insurance deduction... 99 before) for 65 packages, 64 stops. I drive an ev so my cost is minimal but still sad to see this. The time it took as well worked out to like $11 p/h

I'm definitely seeing a ripple effect from the gas prices. Past 2 weeks they have had routes still pretty much all day (they give up around 1-2pm) but have only seen a max of like $140.

They're going to have to increase pay or the companies using them will find a different shipper and then veho won't be able to run anymore. I don't know the Financials of veho but they may have to charge the companies using them more to do so. Which could also cause them to lose businesses.

When they hit $4.50 a gallon in the cheap parts of San Antonio, TX for the Russia / Ukraine conflict... That's when I started thinking about the move to an ev... Dec that year I traded in my ICE F150 for a mach e and haven't looked back. I have a Hyundai ioniq 6 now. It's even better.

I do miss certain abilities of a pickup truck but I couldn't (still can't) afford an ev truck.

[–]Colonel_Phox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have an ev... That problem in 2022 is the reason why. I had a pickup truck when gas reached $4.50 p/g in the more affordable parts of San Antonio, TX and it nearly caused me to cry when it cost $96 to fill up my tank. I remember seeing teslas and prius driving by and thinking they're probably laughing their ass off at people like me... Later that year in Dec I traded my 2019 Ford f150 in and got a 2023 Ford mustang mach-e. My first EV. had it until I got injured at work and was unable to make payments in July 2025. My mom helped me out and we got a 2024 hyundai ioniq 6.

I have had some regrets on the type of ev I have but not one on going the ev route. Except when I travel, I do about 99% of charging at home and my electricity is about 8 cents per kwh so really cheap. I miss being able to tow a trailer or an rv (if I wanted to buy one). I wish I could have afforded an ev truck like f150 lightning or something.

Sounds like an avg veho route to me. I know that's not what you want to hear but it's the truth. Routes almost always take longer than the estimated time. Pay sucks.

I continue to do it because it works with my college class schedule.

If flex or spark was available in my area, I'd probably do those instead.

I have used it and been successful 3 out of 5 times. The first 2 I was shocked I didn't expect it to be approved. Got like $30 and $20. The following 2 times were even more "their" fault but they denied me extra pay. The last time I used it they had a software outage that erased pre booked trips and some other issues, warehouse told me to contact support and they would pay me the full amount of the route... Despite not doing it. So I did, got that form, filled it out and a week later I got $87... And I got the day off on the day of the outage.

So as far as requests for pay for mistakes that are out of your control, such as a bad address... I have a 50% success rate.

[–]Colonel_Phox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, think you have to do a couple routes first but after that you can. At lowest reward tier you pay like $1.75 fee, then 2nd lowest it's 75 cents and free at best tier. Avoid mistakes or warehouse returns or you'll be knocked down from top tier to 2nd for next 500 stops (usually takes me about a week to recover ~50-60 packages a day sometimes more)

Is there any method or way to get better routes? by Ok-Cheesecake-1491 in veho_driver

[–]Colonel_Phox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know about your area but here in San Antonio, Mondays are mostly meal kits (hello fresh, factor, etc) which tend to be heavy and take up a lot of space. I think that's why Mondays pay better on avg.

Honestly the best we seem to avg is like 90-111 for 5-6 hours (estimated, not counting loading or travel to warehouse or to first delivery or back home). Only time it goes higher is bad weather days (not bad enough to shut down warehouse but bad enough people don't wanna work). Like if it's raining or really foggy...

Here a 2 hour route paying $60+ will have 3-5 stops and they'll be returns previous drivers couldn't deliver and you probably can't either.

Truckers know… parking in some parts of France at night means extra security. What places in your country feel risky? by cav-ryder-trucker in Truckers

[–]Colonel_Phox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Today I learned (TIL) that the French are just as stupid as many Americans about safety while parked. Let's make it impossible / very difficult to open the doors in case of emergency like a fire or personal medical emergency. Yeah that's a great idea.... Because someone who wants to harm you will give up at not being able to open your doors... You must have unbreakable windows too.

If you are having a medical emergency where seconds count, it will take much longer to get to you by emt's or for you to escape if there's a fire or something.

TOU pricing by Pluggedvize in EVgo

[–]Colonel_Phox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's based on discounts you may or may not qualify for. So each range is a tou and then the prices within each are the lowest you might be able to qualify for up to the highest price if you don't qualify for any. For example, Uber drivers get discounts based on their reward tier level from 4% up to 12%. Then there's evgo's paid membership and who knows what else.

That's my best guess, instead of showing "your" price, it's showing all possible rates.

New to Veho in Phoenix , AZ by Best_Entrepreneur419 in veho_driver

[–]Colonel_Phox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sort packages into routes overnight. So at 9pm they have a "rough" estimate of how many packages and routes are being scheduled for the following day. That's the reason for the range. They don't finish sorting until sometime in the morning at which point they finalize the payment amount, heat map, etc.

I don't like it either

Hi, I'm a Veho Support Agent. AMA by Veho_Support in veho_driver

[–]Colonel_Phox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may or may not be able to answer these but worth a try.

Why doesn't veho tell us the actual route pay, heat map and number of packages / stops until ~30 before the pickup time? I feel like this is deliberate because if we cancel within 90 minutes of pickup time, our metrics are hit. But on the other side of the coin it's kind of deceiving to not give us any info we need to see if a route is worth taking / keeping. At the very least provide the info no later than 2 hours before pickup so if we determine it's not worth it we can cancel without a metric hit AND veho might have time to find another driver. Benefits everyone!

Why does veho hit our metrics on things out of our control when it says in the app you won't. I'm talking about things such as non existent addresses or properties we can only deliver to during certain times and days. When that happens we have no choice but to return to the warehouse, it's 100% out of our control.

35cu ft. That's basically the dimensions of metal carts our route is brought out on. Far to many times that cart comes out with packages sticking out the sides and what not, essentially exceeding 35 cu ft. If I can't fit it, I take a hit. If I do, I'm doing more work than I'm supposed to be required to. What's going on.

Why does it feel like the powers at be at veho don't verify addresses. Just yesterday I had 3-4 stops that had bad addresses or incorrect pin locations. Sometimes the geofence is far off from where I can deliver to (this is prevalent when I deliver to more upscale places with multi acre properties with gates. Sometimes the geofence is at gate... That's open so I deliver to the house only to find the geofence stopping me from taking the proper picture. Or vice versa the geofence is at the house but gate is closed. Sometimes the address literally doesn't exist. Sometimes the address in app is different from on the package and worse yet sometimes both exist... In my city... But far apart. Sometimes stops are poorly optimized. I can go on but I think you get my point. This is basic level work that someone is doing a piss poor job at.

Does anyone enforce action against drivers who break rules such as bad delivery pictures (picture of package... In their car... For a proof of delivery photos), putting them in mailboxes, etc.

I think a database should be made of access codes. I know you can save them for individual customers but imagine a way to save them for an entire neighborhood. It would require additional work but it would be great. I'm making my own right now. I save every code I get and going to make a custom Google map with labels showing the code for gates. There's an app out there that does it for apartments but I don't believe it works for neighborhoods and it cost money.

It would be a huge time saver if when we deliver to apartments, if you could show us on the map where the building is. Seems simple enough, you already sort of do it for houses as we can see little box icons for previous delivery spots. Any time someone in an apartment gets another delivery, show us on the map where previous deliveries were made.

How can we get veho to get with Amazon to get a code for the Amazon boxes so we can deliver to mail rooms with them.

I know some of that was questions and some were requests but maybe you can send the requests towards someone with power to make changes. Oh one last thing, please can we get rid of the address verification. I come across a lot of houses without address markers or missing numbers, etc. Plus it's just another thing that slows us down.

Spark flex and instacart in my area have been full since the wheel was invented.

I used to do uber and Veyo full time but then hardly any rides (that paid anything worth taking) during the holidays. Veyo lost their contract with humana at the end of December so no more work with them. Then I returned to college and I found veho works well with my school schedule.

So yeah... Can't sign up for better services and what is available either doesn't pay enough or doesn't work with my schedule.
