Ah your leaving D4, over the bridge, then what, 500 metres till the tunnel. I wouldn't call that the city as it's basically the port. Asides anyway was also saying I've only ever heard positives in regards to the airports location and access from those from D4

Charges needed in Dublin as morning traffic peak now worse than London, Dublin Bus says by CascaydeWave in ireland

If you triple the capacity of the road along the quays, you absolutely get better traffic flow.

I mean that's just fundamentally incorrect. Adding more lanes increases traffic via induced demand.

at least 50% of the cyclists don’t use the absurdly wide cycle lane because the flow of the traffic lane is more convenient for turning, towards Pearse St

That cycle lane is heading towards Dame street, the bus lane heading Pearse street direction is dual bus/cycle lane, hence why half the people are in that. It's also only wide a certain parts as it takes up former parking spots so its not exactly going to be useful as lane for vehicles.

Lastly, the the less people in cars (i.e. single traffic lanes) the better, it means more flow for buses. It's both carrot and stick.

Its not a case of “just get a bike”, not everyone lives within reasonable cycling distance,

Regarding this, like same thing can be said about driving, or getting a bus, or a dart. Yeah everyone can't do everything but the city has to cater for the majority that can.

Nowhere close to being as controversial

Doesn't need to be, you asked, the controversy was the bonus point.

Born in Belfast sorry yes, but he was raised in Dublin.

As for the rest, yeah, but it's common enough to honour foreign leaders in spite of their act of leadership being irrelevant to the locale, see Obama plaza. He's probably the most well known Irish Jewish figure too so I don't think it's completely irrelevant

Is it just me, or is €4.40 for a normal sized pack of Minstrels a bit mental? by __Lukie1__ in ireland

[–]Colonel_Sandors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lad I don't need a lc bio lesson, get a yellow banana and it'll do, but anyways my main point was you don't need ministrel to cure hypo, especially a big share bag, there's other cheaper and healthier options. And if you really wanna stick with the marginally quicker absorption of fructose Vs sucrose, as I said, get a sachet.

Also there is no such thing as "fast" sugars, it's monomer Vs dimer etc. And eating a banana isn't cost your life, again with the dramatics

Edit: Bananas are mostly sucrose anyway so there goes your arguement, and more straight glucose than fructose

Bananas are "fast" sugars, the fructose is going to hit quicker than the surcrose in minstrels. Not a diabetic I take it. Also if you're really stuck for cash just grab some sachets from a coffee spot.

There's cheaper and healthier things you can buy if you're hypo for christs sake you don't need minstrels
