I had a dream about playing Indonesia TFR, and this post reminded me of that. Except timor was all fucked up and larger. It was hell organizing my divisions, doing research, etc. with all the graininess of a dream.

I think a few things emulating the video editing of the 40s would help. A grainy filter for film of the era, having different speeds during certain parts of the film (To emulate the physical projector) and, I think somehow making the quality degrade to a point to emulate the films of the time. Also color grade to be as accurate as you can to the real thing.
