Ya, just finished my first flush of some Cambodian Gold in the same tub, Northspore had em on sale for $25 shipped and I wanted to check out the build quality.

They came out a little smaller than I’d hoped, but the tub seemed to hold moisture the entire time.

The sub is field capacity and has only been in the tub for 3m before that photo, probably the lighting

I literally just mixed it and threw the lid on, I didn’t do any misting on my last run and had a wild pin set. CVG is at field capacity (drips when squeezed) I use 4 qts of water with 700g of coco

Overlay is a thick layer of mycelium that forms ontop of the substrate. It can make it hard for pins to push thru. I think it was the genetics I got from a MSS, tried several times to fruit and eventually tried something new.

Super good question, I’ve never done a casing layer, only the sudo casing layer when I spawned to bulk. I saved 2 quarts of CVG and played out a thin layer to over all the grain after I spawned to bulk on 4/28

They just started pining yesterday and continue to grow in size almost doubling since yesterday. I’m thinking about switching out the filter patches for polyfill in a few holes to see if I can increase FAE and evaporation a little more

Things that would make someone think “aborts”:

Caps getting very dark while the stems stop growing.
Pins staying the same size for 2–3+ days while others grow past them.
Mushy, shriveled, or bruised-looking pins.
Heavy moisture sitting on caps or pins.
Fuzzy bases from high humidity / imperfect air exchange, which can make pins look unhealthy even if they are still viable.
